Let me start with I have only eaten at a Penn Station now 5 times and all of them were from the new Westfield store. The first four times I would rate as Five Stars. Each of these four times were walk in carry out. Now this fifth time even my Doctorate in Wise Assology could not find the funny and I seriously try to find that every day. Sadly, I have to admit I am a creature of habit and have ordered the same thing each and every time and the past four were great. Each of my previous visits have been walk in , carry out visits. Today was a change. I called in the order for pickup....I have been suffering with a Migraine totally exacerbated by a Tooth that hasn't been playing nice but, I digress. My Sister-in-law was nice enough to pick up my order for me, As, usual I ordered an 8" Cheese-steak, no green peppers, heavy on the mushrooms. Now there was quite a bit of noise going on but the young lady asked again if I wanted the sauteed onions, green peppers, mushrooms, mayo. mustard and pizza sauce? I reiterated I want everything except green peppers and pizza sauce. Now I was really hungry because I hadn't eaten because of my beloved Migraine...............I wish I could say I inhaled so fast you would swear you heard the Kirby Vacuum Cleaner the second I unwrapped my sub..... I had ordered with my sub, a small fresh cut fries.......Now, if you haven't had their fries ....All I can say is what are you waiting for......They are the food equivalent of CRACK! I am not kidding order some....when they are hot and fresh they are......well i already told you....Now the Sub is where the Taste spiral of Death took me to a place I didn't really want to go------- Seriously? It wasn't that bad but it was bad. I could understand if they had put everything on it but what I got was Steak..........and not a lot of it then well there was a slight hint of cheese..................Then.............Nothing.............The steak, a vague hint of cheese then............NO SAUTEED ONIONS.......NO MUSHROOMS....... NO MAYO or MUSTARD............Now at this point I would have relished in getting what I didn't want on the SUB but again even with this omission I would have been ecstatic if I had gotten what I didn't want.......... Yeah, I know.........REALLY............... Now, did I eat it?.......Oh Hell Yes............ It was Steak on a Great Sub Roll......... I was seriously disappointed but I was hungry as I could be..... Did I call to complain? Nope, but hopefully they will read this. Even if the failure rate is 20% ...It was still steak on a nice Sub Roll............ With my previous four visits being stellar and delicious, i really can't complain much even if I just...

Unbeknownst to me, there was a misconfiguration on their website/app that allowed us to place a pickup order at 9:45am when they don't open until 10am. My kids were getting on a bus at 10am to go to summer camp, and they needed to bring lunch for the bus trip. So when I saw you could pickup here at 9:45am, it seemed perfect.
We got there and they were still closed. We looked in the window and could see the staff getting ready, but the door was locked. Someone came and opened the door to tell us they weren't open. We explained we'd placed an online order and paid with a pickup of 9:45am. They went and checked and, sure enough, there it was. They told us the site shouldn't have allowed us to do that, but they made the sandwiches without any issues.
My kids made it on the bus fine and enjoyed their lunch during the ride.
So, my apologies to the crew who was on that morning. I should have cross-checked the pickup vs. opening time and questioned it. But a HUGE thank you for taking care of us anyway without any hint of frustration.
Excellent customer service, and delicious...
