This was horrible. Today 9/15 around 11am we tried to go thru the drive-thru, and we thought they were closed because no one was answering. We went inside and it took a few minutes for a young lady with blue hair to come to the counter. We asked how she was doing and she ignored us. This was horrible customer service, grumpy, no eye contact, nothing. I told her “are you the only one here” and she said “no she’s in the bathroom.” I gave her words of encouragement and we even gave her a tip! Then another worker came from the bathroom and was someone cordial. Then a young man came in and they started complaining about how little money they make, how they don’t understand how the gentleman got fired (even though he was written up more than 3 times.) I was astounded, but it got worse! The young man started talking about how he was outrunning the cops! He then stole a bag of chips! They talked about how little money they make, but I remember getting paid much less, they should be happy to earn money. I was astounded. I then asked the young man if he paid for the chips and he said “no, but I will.” I’m not quite sure about that. I called them out and told them that they can’t talk about how much they hate their job infront of customers. It’s just not appropriate. I was offended bc WE GAVE THEM MONEY, we tipped them. I want them to do better in life! It’s so sad. Then they looked shocked that I called them out, and when we drove away I saw them sitting outside talking together, not even in the franchise! You have only two attendants on during a busy Sunday morning. The line at the drive thru was not moving. I decided to go inside and realized it was because they were so busy they stopped taking drive thru orders. The line was around the block. There was no note or anything letting people know this short staff situation. This is not a failure of the employees but your management. If there is not enough support, leadership should step in. Please provide your employees with better compensation for how hard they have to work and remediation to the management on how to run a business. Read moreWas very excited to try Tropical Smoothie Cafe and went today for the first time. Arrived at 12:50 and placed an order for one smoothie and two of the featured Flatbread Flats. Our smoothie took 15 minutes and our Flatbreads took 38 minutes! They gave them to us in a carry out bag and both were upside down and all the toppings were laying on the box top. The food was not even warm and the cheese wasn't melted. We could tell if they had been cooked correctly they would have been good. It was a Sunday and we did not see one employee that looked over 18 years old. The staff was trying so hard but didn't seem to know what they were doing.
