Are you looking for delicious food made to order by a wonderful family? Are you ready to be welcomed to their restaurant as if you are a beloved family member? Let me be clear, this is not fast food. If you are there on a Friday or Saturday night then you will be transported to Puerto Rico by the owners wonderful singing and guitar. There are only 50 seats so plan accordingly. The food is not spicy hot, but richly seasoned. If you do go there definitely get the potatoe balls and the green hot sauce. On a personal note for people with food allergies I have a severe allergy to black pepper and they so very accommodating that this is one of my favorite places in the world. Five stars does not due this place justice as I would rate it higher if I could. In reading other reviews of this restaurant you may see that one of the biggest complaints is wait time on your order...I see this as a compliment on the quality as they actually prepare each meal...
Read moreI have tried various Puerto Rican restaurants and have been disappointed with the quality of the food. The food is often under-seasoned and bland. I met a friend here last night for dinner. Only disappointment is that the roast pork is only available on Friday and Saturday. As we were told, it will give us an excuse to come back! And...
Read moreTo start off, a simple walk-up to the counter and was greeted warmly by a gentleman who seemed to be the head of the kitchen. I was offered the meau and a gesture to sit where I was comfortable after I mentioned I would like to eat in. The hostess Beatrice was so polite and welcoming when she became available to take my order( a busy evening). I had the roasted pork shoulder with the yellow rice, stewed beans, a side of the sweet fried plantain, and a drink. To finish, a flan for dessert. The food was delicious! Nothing dry or missing any seasoning, Very flavorful! Rice was light airy and moist. The pork was wonderful. The dessert was refreshing as well. The wait wasn't unreasonable in the slightest. Would definitely revisit when the craving for spanish food hits. Thank you for the meal,...
