Possibly the worst experience we have ever had anywhere in the service industry. A group of us went after a work shift at around 10PM - mind you that this McDonalds closes at 11PM. We tried to grab a seat to sit down and eat as a group and were immediately met with hostility from one of the employees. I don't remember her name, but it was a short female name, perhaps "Kim." She was blonde if I recall correctly.
She told us very rudely, "don't sit anywhere where the chairs are up." We looked around and every chair in the restaurant was put up. We asked her how we were supposed to sit down and eat then seeing as the entire restaurant was seemingly off limits. She replied in a very snarky manner with "well we want to go home too." The store doesn't even close until 11, so you wouldn't be going home regardless. Why even bother staying open if you're not going to let people eat? (On a side complaint, this location is constantly trying to shut down early and not adhere to their posted hours. I once tried to go in at 10:30 and got waved off by the employee after finding that the door was locked.)
She proceeded to get even more hostile and argumentative with our group and cussed out our members all in front of other customers in our store. One of our group members was an elderly grandmother who just worked an entire shift standing at Market Basket - she just wanted to sit down and eat and received nothing but rudeness in return.
So instead we decided to eat inside our cars in the parking lot. Oh nope, not over yet. Our friendly McDonalds employee decided to come out into the parking lot and cuss us out there as well. She told us to leave the parking lot because apparently we can't eat there during store hours either, and told us that she called the police.
The police pulled over a couple of the members of our group, including the grandmother. Guess what, they recognized her. The police thought that the story was absolutely ridiculous as well and according to her, they went into the restaurant to try and talk sense into the employee. So not only is she completely rude and should have absolutely no business working in any capacity that involves interacting with other beings capable of cognition, she's wasting the police resources of this town because even the officers thought it was...
Read moreI have held off giving a negative review, but my experience yesterday was another in a recent string of poor experiences here. I worked at McDonald's for years as a teenager so I have a good level of sympathy for the challenges faced. However, it should not take 27 minutes to get two happy meals (with cold burgers) at 2pm on a Saturday. The service here is poor. The team is disorganized, and lacking in leadership and management. There was one person on the grill and about 5 others wandering around with a lobby full of people. There's no drive through and nearly all orders were mobile or kiosk, so you would think that would mean there could be a large focus on food prep. After 27 minutes one of the cold (plain) cheeseburgers didn't even have cheese on it.
I get it, it's McDonald's. The old adage about you want something done well, done quickly, and done cheaply... Well you can only pick 2 of the 3. This McDonald's just checks the "cheap" box. Look somewhere else if you want...
Read moreDo Not waste your time stopping here. Remember when you got your meal in 30 seconds or less or it was free? Well I walked into this place and there were about 10 people standing around so I asked the girl in front of me what the process was. She said just go up around the corner and wait in line to order. I asked her, Have you ordered already then? She said yes and she'd been waiting about 7 minutes. I went up to order and it went ok. A new guy was at the register being trained, no big deal. However it was 15 minutes after that, whilst speaking to this girl the whole time did her order come up. So that was about 20 minutes plus that she waited for her food and I waited another 5 or so after she got hers. There was nobody standing back looking at the current situation and "Managing" what needed to be done. Every worker was floundering around with no direction and had a lackadaisical attitude, I'm just here to do a job man.. I will never go to this place again. Worst customer...
