First , we sat during shift change so whoever sat us simply forgot to tell our waitress we haven't been helped. After waiting ten minutes we flagged someone down to get drinks. Once Chloe took over everything from the service side was great. She was very attentive and ensured we got everything we needed quickly.
The cheeseburger I had was amazing. I was bummed when hook burger closed because there were no decent places nearby that I was aware of with a great burger until I visited here. However, I do think the price is a bit nuts. $20 plus tip for a burger, some fries, and a fountain drink.
That's not my biggest gripe, though. Can places that predominantly serve alcohol please stop allowing children? I had to deal with a screaming child for the majority of the meal because apparently adult oriented atmospheres simply don't exist anymore. Parents, if you need a beer that badly, then maybe get a babysitter. This is the second brewery location I've been to with children screaming or running...
Read moreI like the venue and the vibe of the place. I was there on a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded or too busy. The prices for food and beer are comparable to other places nearby, but none of the beer flights I sampled really stood out to me as something I'd want to specifically come back for. You know what I mean: that 'one' drink that you can't get elsewhere with the unique, new taste. Everything was clean, service was prompt, and although we only got appetizers, the food was fine.

Then they brought another, final receipt after running my card (the one you sign) and that has another tip line. It's a little bit of a disingenuous move because our party noticed the second tip line, but most people may not catch it and end up...
Read morePassing through this part of town we hit some traffic BUT I happened to look to east side of the freeway and saw the Fig Mountain Logo. I’ve been to the Buellton and Santa Barbara locations but I have no idea it was as far down as West Lake. We decided to exit and find our way back to check it out.
As always, Figueroa Mountain tap rooms never disappoint. Great beer, kind grinds and decor of an old SLO county barn, this locations was full of friendly patrons and helpful staff. We tasted a few of the newer releases... one was legit and we got a Crowler to drink at home.
“Bruts are made for walking” is a 7.1% IPA that was seriously smooth. We wished we got another because everyone we shared it with loved it too.
We Also walked away with the 8th Anniversary and a 6 pack of the hard to find in So Cal Mosaic.
Although Fig is no longer a small town brewery, I still support their great beer....
