We went out for breakfast on New Year's Day and our original restaurant choice was closed. My daughter wanted a mimosa and Novo Cafe fit the bill.

They had a smallish breakfast menu with the usual suspects...eggs Benedict, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and some specialties like burata toast and lox avocado toast. They have an extensive lunch menu with pizzas, paninis, pasta, and salads as well as a specials menu.

I chose the steak and eggs. It came with a 12 oz New York steak, eggs potatoes, and toast. The steak was cooked to perfection with a nice crust. It was seasoned simply and flavorful. The eggs and potatoes were a good accompaniment. It was the perfect breakfast to start the New Year.

My daughter had the filet mignon special that came with spinach and mashed potatoes. She also got her mimosa. The filet was pounded thin and seasoned nicely. My daughter said it was a good choice.

On our way out, we picked up some dessert. We got a piece of the nonna cake with some spumoni ice cream as well as some eclairs and other assorted pastries. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the spumoni ice cream.

The service was good. They were attentive and took good care of us. There is plenty of parking. We decided that we'd like to return one evening to try some of the Itialian specialties...

First of all here is a great restaurant specially for the brunch and their signature Bloody Mary. We usually come here on Sundays for brunch. On our recent experience Abdial the server with purple hair was supposed to help us. Whenever we needed something she was never around to help us . The bus boy on the other hand named jack was very helpful and aware of customers. He had his smile on and was willing to help us every-time. Therefor we left jack $20 tip and Abdial $1 tip for her poor service. Mid-day we decided to come back for lunch also. Abdial brought us bloody Mary's in regular glass and when I asked the reason she said you didn't left tip. I explained the reason of my tipping decision, instead of apologizing for her poor service she decided to tell me since she didn't get a tip we are no longer welcomed at the restaurant. She is very rude , not helpful and she has anger issues. When I asked for manager she said she is The manager! She is the worst ever server I've seen in my life. This nice restaurant deserves more professional people with the right attitude like jack. Even though he is the bus boy , he was available to help all the customers. If I ever comeback , I don't want to even have her...

The food at this restaurant is great at a great price, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, however, if you have Celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance, their care around gluten cross contamination is not always great. They have a gluten free pasta option, however this pasta is cooked in the same water with other gluten containing pasta. Previously, this was not the case, but their policy recently changed without notice. The roasted potatoes they serve in the morning are not gluten free, however the ones they serve in the evening are different and they ARE gluten free. They do have gluten free pizzas, and I was told those are given a dedicated gluten free pizza stone, and they also have very good fish entrees that are gluten free as well. Overall the restaurant is great, but take care if you have an extreme gluten intolerance or Celiac, and always ask about your...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an experience! Novo Italian Restaurant is a gem. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the warm ambiance—elegant yet casual, with comfy booths and beautifully set tables. I started my visit at the fresh coffee and pastry bar (a must!), and everything that followed was just as delightful. The menu is versatile—whether you're in the mood for a hearty entrée or a light salad, every dish is made to impress. The wine list? Absolutely top-notch. And I can't forget to mention the owner, Massimo—not only is he incredibly kind, but he's also quite handsome, which doesn’t hurt! If you’re looking for quality food, wonderful service, and a memorable experience, Novo is the place. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended for lunch! I got the same thing both times (Classic Capricciosa Pizza), and my friend got the steak salad (her favorite) and then the seafood salad. First time we sat outside on the patio with the red umbrellas. Shaded, perfect afternoon setting, heaters if you need them. Second time we were inside by the bar (to watch soccer on the TV's). Extensive dining space (this restaurant is huge!), so you have multiple choices to dine in: outside dining (my fave, by the red umbrellas) or inside tables, or high tables near the bar. There's even an extra outside/enclosed area to the left of the entrance! FYI they have gluten-free if you like it, but the regular freshly cooked bread is to die for.

The lentil soup was outstanding, although a bit too salty for my taste. The rigatoni vegetarian was okay but I did ask for marinara sauce which improved it a bit. On Saturday evenings they're very busy and the service can suffer sometimes. Our server did not check on us after we received our food for about 30 minutes and by that time it was too late to request any corrections. There was a nice classic rock band playing on Saturday night. If you don't want it to be too loud then ask to be set either outside or in the back dining room.
