No photos to post, but we had the large margherita pizza, a small gyro pizza, a "large" house salad, and a "large" Caesar salad. Large are in quotes for the salads because they were most definitely single-serve salads & I had the pleasure of listening to my family in law argue over splitting them so that everyone that wanted some had enough. Not my ideal Friday night. (And, also kept this review from being a 5 star one for food.)
I also put down the Atmosphere as a 4 b/c we had our order as a carry out. Parking is extremely tight, especially if the patrons of the Time Warp bar next door are hogging all of the spaces. I did the pick up & had to illegally park in the fire lane. (Ooops.) The restaurant appeared to be family friendly enough, so may be worth a dine-in visit at some point.
The pizza was delicious. Sure the gyro pizza is a little weird & different, but there's someone for everyone. The large margherita was LARGE. I had to put a seat down in my Honda Fit in order to have enough space in my car for it. No, really, I had to do that. The 2 pizzas & the aforementioned salads were the right amount of food for 5 hungry adults....
Read moreI absoluteley LOVED this resturaunt. For starters the pizza is To Die For!!As soon as you walk in you receive a very family vibe and the restaurant has a little arcade room perfect for kids. If you going to be coming here with your family, I suggest you ask to sit outside (if it's nice out). Outside they have a seating area with umbrellas (like any other outdoor restaurant) But they have some really cool things. On one side of the wall, they have a kind of miniature form of a rings toss and next to it they have the same thing but you are trying to get a minni basketball in the minni hoop. They also have bocce ball set and a mini form of corn hole. They have a large square patch of grass that's perfect for kids to play in. On the food side the pizza was the best I have ever had. It was A very thin crust pizza but I folded it calzone style (like I do all pizzas) and it was perfectly fine. The topping we're great and the pizza definitely tasted like it was homemade and a family recipe. The staff was very nice and welcoming as well. Overall I had an amazing experience here and I definitely recommend it. I am...
Read moreI ordered the Neapolitan pizza and a salad. This is NOT Neapolitan style pizza — not even close — but it's still pretty decent. Why is it not Neapolitan style? Neapolitan means that it comes from Naples, Italy, and Italians (and most of Europe) tend to take food pretty seriously, especially when you name it after a region. There is literally a standards organization for defining what s Neapolitan pizza is, the AVPN. This pizza was nowhere close to what I would expect because all the ingredients are wrong including the texture and rise of the crust. I recommend at least switching to San Marzano tomatoes; it will make a huge improvement in quality. Aside from being very misleading, the food was reasonably good and the waitress was very nice. The overhead fans were blowing pretty hard even though it wasn't exactly hot in there; I had to move to a new seat. Check out In Forno in Avon if you want to experience good Neapolitan...
