Waffle House — Restaurant in Westlake

I came here last night for the first time since opening. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming! I noticed an older white guy sitting at the bar area who was speaking louder than usual (the whole restaurant could hear him). Me and my friends assumed he was drunk and ignored him. A couple of minutes go by, the conversation escalated and he is trying to walk out without paying and his server is telling him to come back and pay. He finally did then they told him to never come back. The manager walks out to apologize to the rest of the customers, and I asked if he was drunk and she said no he wasn’t- he just did not like that the managers hat and the servers bracelet were rainbow. I hope if any homophobe bigot is reading this, learn a lesson to grow up and stop being hateful. That mans attitude was disgusting, classless, and trashy. You might be surprised but a lot of westlake citizens have the same classless attitude. The waffle house crew handled the situation as best as they could and I will proudly come back here. Visit this location on 8/21/24 and I was short a grit, egg, bacon bowl. Ask for a refund and they said that they would leave my name for their manager or I can come back and get it the next morning. While I showed up 8/22/24 to place a new order and pick up the breakfast bowl and the staff that was there this morning didn't know anything about it. It was a back and forth with them looking up receipts asking me what time I came and how much etc., and just like yesterday I can't spend 20 minutes need to get my food and go. We'll I order an All Star Breakfast paid for it, but they prepare a grit bowl instead. The cashier admitted to the order, but the cook got confused I guess at listening to us discuss me been short a grit bowl from yesterday and premature started making the breakfast bowl thinking that's what I wanted. So I am still in the hole for a breakfast grit bowl and the difference between the grit and All Star...

I want to keep this to myself but I have to share! WestLake Waffle House #2471 is the one to be on the map. The service was hands down the absolute best in town. Best team award goes to Dee and Kristi on grill and Kayla and Tammy was our servers. The customer service was spot on and the food was the best ever. Dee made them pork chops season on both sides to pure perfection, Kristi made my sausage, egg and cheese melt in mouth pattymelt and Tammy and Kayla was the cherry on top for service with going the extra mile, above and beyond to make sure we were very well taken care of. Excellent food and even better service! 10/10 recommend. This was the A team with the skills to back it up. Absolute pleasure ladies!
