Blackjack Pizza & Salads — Restaurant in Westminster

Blackjack Pizza has its place in the pizza chain hierarchy, and it's a welcomed one. Easily a step above most other commercial chains, such as Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's, etc., Blackjack is reasonably priced and is consistently high quality, but it fails to demonstrate any imagination or creativity in its menu offerings.

Quality control is mostly excellent- ingredients are consistently bright and fresh, there are never any bubbles in the dough, and the temp is always spot on, golden brown. Sauce and cheese are applied more generously here, or at least, the sauce is more robust. The crust is just about perfect in texture and taste (pan and hand), though some very light seasoning might lift it up a notch. Improvement could be made with ingredient distribution; spotty coverage, spotty pizza.

The menu is a carbon copy of its major chain competitors, with similar, slightly more expensive deals. While the familiar territory helps, the lack of anything unusual or exciting is disappointing. Step up to the plate and attempt chicken shawarma pizza, or Thai chili lemongrass.

All in all, I'm more thrilled to have discovered a consistently quality pizza chain to replace the others than I am disappointed by its shortcomings. There's clearly a solid foundation at hand; with a little inspiration and imagination to spruce up the menu with weekly/ monthly specialty pizzas, this chain could be one...

I have to start by saying that I have waited 4 days to post my review because I was so mad I didn’t want it to be full of anger and rant! We have used this Blackjack pizza for years! I have bought up to 8 to 10 pizzas at a time for events or large family gatherings. I am a personal assistant for a well known beer family and sometimes we order pizza for big events because what goes better with beer! I had a $65 order … so a small order, on Saturday. It was almost come on an hour late, so I called with my confirmation number to check on it. I never ever get snappy with people on the phone because it doesn’t work and it is rude! This guy who answered the phone came at me guns a blazing! Yelled at me then HUNG UP on me! I am a great tipper and I’m sure the drivers are happy when I order. My food finally came and I had already tipped on my order, so I handed the guy who brought me my order another $20 because that is my final tip! Never ever will I order from anyone who hangs up on me for no reason! I was not rude or unkind to this guy on the other end of the phone. So, Blackjack advertising isn’t the only way to get customers you have to actually keep them. Cheers Blackjack...

Burnt pizza and rude and uncaring manager! Ordered delivery from here and our pizza was overcooked. The cheese was solid and the crust was hard. It wasn't even that big of a deal however it was not Blackjack's normal standards. I called to let the manager know our pizza was overcooked. I didn't ask for coupons or redelivery of 2 new pizzas. I just wanted her to know that whoever made the pizza left it in the oven too long, in the hopes they don't send other customers pizza like that. My husband and I both work in the service industry we know how busy it can be and we know how customers can be. Honest feedback should be welcomed and mistakes corrected. The manager however did not believe my pizza was overcooked and "suggested" that I order a lightly baked pizza in the future. No thanks! Will not be ordering from here in the future. When you stop caring about how your food comes out that's when things go downhill. So sad for this blackjack that they do not have a manager who will address a customers concerns.
