Frozen Spirals — Restaurant in Westminster

We visited here late August on a whim, searching for a new ice cream shop. Excited by the concept, but disappointed by the reality. First, when we walked into the place, as the only customers, the cashier just stared at us. It's also really complicated to order when you're unfamiliar, and the menu board is difficult to read/understand. So we stepped back from the counter and discussed what we wanted amongst ourselves. Still as the only customers in the place. The cashier then put her head down on the counter, started laughing to herself and seemingly complaining about us to herself, pretty loudly. Weird, awkward, rude, and unprofessional.

Finally we ordered, without a thank you or any other information. So we sat ourselves down at one of the few dingy tables and waited... Quite a while, again considering no one else was there. There were a bunch of employees carrying on loudly in the back room. A few minutes passed and someone actually came out to start making our order. In the meantime, another family came in and experienced basically the same level of service we did. After about 10 minutes, we finally had our two ice creams.

I was hoping the ice cream would make up for these issues. It didn't, especially at $10+ a piece....

Very disappointed with the service here! I go here pretty often at least once or twice a week. Today I went with my family we ordered and went and ate outside. When I was done I went back in to order 2 more to bring home to my parents. I went back outside to wait. About 5 minutes later they brought 1 of my ice creams out. I was patiently waiting on the other one thinking they were just busy until everybody that ordered after me received theirs and I looked inside and they are all just in there flirting and playing around so I go back in to ask about my other one and they said that they can make it and I told them in the 25 minutes I was waiting for my other one the one they had brought me was melted and could they take that one back and give me a new one and they absolutely refused! Telling me of course it’s melted its ice cream and if I wanted one not melted I could buy another one like ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! It’s melted because you all were to busy flirting in there and forgetting about my order while I was sitting outside waiting for my other one so I could take them home to my parents! Absolutely ridiculous this place needs to learn customer...

UPDATE I’m changing this review form 1 star to 3 due to the response by the owners. However, if the transition to new ownership occurred after July 17th I will take this review down. I’m not sure who’s responsible but on July 17th I started getting harassed from multiple accounts about this review on Yelp.

After waiting 45 minutes from time of ordering, we witnessed two guys go in without masks talk with their friend behind the counter. The two “friends” proceeded to stick their head over the glass where our ice cream was being made to talk to the employee. The employee brought our first ice cream out and we asked him to ask the guys to step away from where our food was being made. He went inside and sarcastically yelled at his friends to step away. They did go outside.

I didn’t want to write a bad review because I know how hard it is to be a business but this needs to be addressed.

I will happily take down or modify this review if I see that a training has been put in place to prevent this from happening again...
