ChaTraMue OC — Restaurant in Westminster

Whenever I visit my family in Thailand sometimes we stop and get Cha Tra Mue right when we land (they have a kiosk in the airport) and/or always have it a few times throughout our stay in Thailand so when we heard they were opening one in Orange County I got really excited!

Cha Tra Mue in Thai means handcrafted tea. It’s the #1 Thai Tea company in Thailand & you see their stores everywhere there because the company has been around for years and because their Thai tea is legit so good!

They have a variety of different teas but my favorite is the Thai Green Tea with pandan boba. My boyfriend got the matcha tea and he liked his but tried mine and said he likes mine more 😂

The location has a parking lot with 3 spots designated for the shop so that’s a perk as well since parking at some places can be difficult.

The drinks can be modified in terms of sweetness and toppings (boba types, etc.)

The shop is cute and spacious and they have some tables so you can enjoy your drink there but we got ours to go.

They also sell some of the product like canned teas and merchandise as well. I usually buy these in Thailand and bring the tea back home to give as gifts, so that’s cool I can just get it here.

Overall, I’m so happy they opened a spot here and so...

ChaTraMue OC - Thai Tea Heaven in the Heart of OC!

If you're a fan of Thai tea, this is your paradise. ChaTraMue OC brings the iconic Thai tea brand straight from Bangkok to Orange County--and they do it right.

I ordered the Original Thai Milk Tea, and it was exactly how I remember it from Thailand: rich, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can taste the difference in quality--none of that watered-down stuff you find at typical boba spots. Bonus: they let you customize sweetness and ice levels, which is a nice touch.

We also tried the peach seasonal tea; so refreshing! The Green Thai Tea and Rose Milk Tea--both were flavorful and unique, not overly sweet, and super smooth. Highly recommend the rose if you want something floral and refreshing. But it's a natural laxative. The cocoa was perfect for the kids!

Service was friendly and fast, even though the place was buzzing with people. The shop itself is clean, bright, and has a minimalist vibe with some fun Thai branding elements.

Pro tip: the drinks come in super aesthetic cups--perfect for Instagram if you're into that. Parking is tough- park at Asian garden mall.

Ah, so happy to see ChaTraMue in Westminster - the flavors here are great! I highly recommend the Thai Green Milk Tea. I generally prefer my drinks less sweet (I usually get half sweet at other spots), and 30% is still quite flavorful.

There was a line out the door, but the service went by quick relative to the line and the cashier was professional and great!

Prices are on par with what you’d expect of milk tea spots. (Cups are also way more durable, so can have multiple uses - a little detail that I appreciate/make use of)

Location is great, near so many “hot spots”like phuoc loc tho, seafood cove, etc. Parking is limited/2 spots designated per shop, so if you aren’t able to snag a spot directly there, go over to the mall next door (and enjoy some food & shopping there too!). This spot is also in the same area as Tay Ho Banh Cuon - so convenient to order & wait for food while you grab a drink here (or vice versa if the line here is long! And an additional 2 parking spot...
