I saw this place the other day and being a lover of Mexican food I HAD to go in and check it out, especially since this area lacks good Mexican food. This used to be a KFC/Taco Bell combo so I'm glad something original went in. Being from San Diego we were spolied with Mexican restaurants on every corner that were open late with drive thru's. One thing that I like here is that they have a drive thru. This is more or a fast-casual restaurant though more like Chipotle/Q doba, but with more unique and authentic items. Restaurant was super clean and staff was friendly. Even the owner was there and we chatted for awhile. She was very nice and very proud of her new restaurant. Lot's of items to choose from and my latest kick with Mexican food is beef Birria which is slow roasted beef usually served with a consume. It's the Mexican version of a 'French Dip' I got a Beef Birria quesadilla that also came with a side of sour cream and pico de gallo. The pic I took only shows two slices, but I already ate half of it! It was great! They also serve Carnitas which is hard to find at places. Not sure what I'll try next, maybe the carne asada? They also have a huge selection of Jarritos and the owner said they will be selling beer soon. I HAVE to have a Corona or Dos Equis with Mexican food! Would definielty reccomend and will...
Read moreI was originally going to Panda Express but stopped here when I saw it was finally open. The inside was nicer than I was expecting, clean and bright. At first I thought ordering was only through the tablets but an employee came out and apologized that he was in the back and could help take my order. He was professional and friendly about the questions I had. I ordered 3 individual tacos, chips and salsa, and 2 jarritos. I waited about 8 minutes and an employee brought my order to go. The service was actually friendly. Now for the food: biggest letdown is chips and salsa don’t taste homemade and salsa is on the sweet side which I don’t like. I ordered a pastor, steak, and carnitas taco. The tacos a smaller than I was expecting for the price. They need more seasoning and were not very juicy. Definitely better tacos in Westminster. But the inside was pretty nice and the service was good so I will probably go back to try their Tex-Mex...
Read moreThe cashier was too busy on his headset to hear what we ordered. Got our order completely wrong. Ordered 3 smothered burrito plates, we got 3 plates of various ingredients with doft taco shells for 2 people. Went to ask him about it and he acted like what I got is what it should be. I said we got taco shells. He's like oh, did you want flour shells. I said that's what a burrito is. Said he'd get us some.....still waiting on those.
Another worker said he'd make us the burritos to fix the error. Sat forever only to be brought 2.....there were 3 of us, I ordered 3....what's the disconnect.
Paid more here than a sit down Mexican and the food wasn't great. It was 1130, they hadnt been open long and were out if carnitas....and messing up the orders.
$50 for bad service, not great food and still not food for 3. ...
