Let's start with what was good. My carryout order was easy to order online and was ready in about 15 minutes. The pizza tasted delicious. Now, sadly, onto the bad. First, I had to drive a long way to even FIND a Pizza Hut. All the ones in my own neighborhood are long gone, and no location will deliver to my home. (We live in a busy suburb, not even somewhere remote.) Second, the "medium pizza" is so much smaller now than you remember. They upcharge you $2 per pizza for pan crust now, so basically you're paying a bundle for something that's basically the size of the "personal pan pizza" you used to get as a child for reading a book at school. Third, and I cannot believe I am even having to write this, when I asked the guy at the counter to please include some packets of parmesan and red pepper flakes, this is literally what he said to me: "Yep, we have them. They're a dollar each. Would you like me to add that to your bill?" I was totally flummoxed. A huge upcharge for standard condiments. What's next? An upcharge for ketchup packets with the french fries at McDonald's? A dollar surcharge if you use the salt shaker at Denny's? I almost told him to cancel out the $5.00 tip I was prompted online to leave for the employees and give me five packets instead. (On that note, why does the site prompt for tipping on a carryout order? You didn't deliver it, you didn't wait a table, why are we tipping exactly? The restaurant should be paying you a living wage for doing a job.) But upcharged condiments, that was a new one for me. Get out of town with this "dollar a packet" nonsense. No wonder all the Pizza Huts in my own neighborhood have closed down. So long, Pizza Hut, we'll always have our good memories...
Read moreI specifically ordered pizza and garlic bread sticks to be delivered at 5:15 and specified “Please ring bell” in the delivery instructions. The pizza was not here when my friends arrived, and after sitting around the dining table waiting to eat, we called the store at 5:30 and asked about it. We were told that the pizza was not being delivered by Pizza Hut, and that it was picked up by someone named Diana who is associated with some outside delivery service that corporate now insists on. She picked up a “double”. Apparently, an outside computer system decides who is going to be assigned to the delivery and the store has no control over the process. We were first told to call back in 1/2 hour and that then a manager might authorize a redo of the order. When I questioned whether the replacement order would still be subject to being delivered by the outside delivery company, I was told yes. While talking with the male employ, we checked the porch again and found the order which was now cold on the porch. I don’t know how long it had been there because the delivery person DIDN’T RING THE BELL! With the $5.69 delivery fee and $8.48 tip, I paid $50.88 for 1 cold pizza and 1 order of cold garlic bread sticks. NEVER AGAIN will any of us order from Pizza Hut. We WILL be telling everyone we know and doing...
Read moreFor the 2nd time in a month, I received undercooked pizza. The first was a personal pan pizza and was delivered, so I didn't make a fuss as it was only for me, and I just cooked it after it got here. The 2nd was a large pizza for my family. We had a school event, and this store is less than a mile from our home, so I decided to order a large pizza for pickup. I picked it up, got it home, and found that it was undercooked. The bottom of the pizza crust was literally raw dough with no color to it. The top of the pizza crust was "blonde" and not the brown toasty color you should see on the crust. I called, and they said they would make me another. I drove back over, and the 2nd "looked" a little better, but even my 5 year old and 10 year old who would eat pizza for every meal if they could said that it was horrible and more like a snack pack pizza. The dough was still undercooked, not as raw, but not cooked all the way. The mushrooms, pineapple, and peppers were barely warm and definitely not cooked to temp. By that time, we had to leave for the school, so the kids had to eat sandwiches on the go. I assume their oven is broken and not cooking at the correct temperature. This could cause someone to get sick, so...
