I recently visited this location and was disappointed by the condition of the store, in the hopes that it will encourage the owners to make some minor changes that will dramatically increase the quality of the experience customers have inside of their store I am leaving this negative review, with recommendations on how to fix these issues.
A few drop-down ceiling tiles are broken and missing causing the store to look run down and need to be replaced.
A few fluorescent lights are flickering noticeably or are burnt out and need to be replaced, this is causing the inside of the restaurant to flicker irritatingly and make the store appear to be rundown.
The Lee's Sandwich sign on the wall is missing letters and causing the store to appear run down.
Graffiti on the glass windows of the storefront needs to be removed, it is causing the store to appear rundown.
The bathroom has a note saying for customers only, and another note saying out of service, if the bathroom is truly out of service it needs to be repaired quickly for a better customer experience or if you do not want the restroom to be used by customers then a sign saying employees only needs to be installed.
The doors of the store were propped open because the air conditioning was not on. I had to step outside while I waited for my sandwich it was so hot and uncomfortable, unbearable. The employees were nice and I felt horrible for them as they looked to be visibly suffering in the sweltering heat. If the air conditioning is broken this needs to be repaired as soon as possible to improve customer experience. If the air conditioning is turned off to save on electricity it needs to be turned back on as it is summertime now, at least run it during the day and turn it off in the evening when it is cooler outside.
I love Lee's sandwiches and my sandwich was delicious, it could have used a little bit more meat though, and the employees are nice, to see this location in such a run down state...

Being a regular at Lee's, moreso at my local ones in Artesia & Hawaiian Gardens, I do stop by this location periodically pre/post movie at the Regency Westminster. Now, I have my go-to's - combination banh mi, BBQ pork banh mi, sardine banh mi. However, I do have the urge to change things up, as variety is the spice of life.
Enter the egg sandwiches - same setup as the banh mi, but with egg your way! Takes a little longer for the egg to cook, but who cares?!? Gimme dat egg! How do I like mine? Slightly runny, oh yeah. Each bite of sandwich having that golden egg yolk dripping down. Good stuff!
Of course, caffeine addicts love the Viet coffee. As I get older, I'm becoming more & more caffeine sensitive, and notice a headache after having the sugary paint thinner that is Viet coffee. But, once in awhile I'll indulge.
If I feel like indulging even more, I may pick up a Deli manjoo for the heck of it. A great snack that's not too sweet.
Service has been good the times I've been here. I'm usually in & out in no time. A fair amount of seating inside to enjoy your meal. Parking is in a private lot, shared by Regency Westminster, L&L and other businesses.
Cheap, easy & filling, Lee's does the trick again & again. My usual #11 has given way to the delicious egg sandwiches, except for when I don't want too messy a meal. That yolk gets everywhere, yo.
Highly...
Read moreI had to change my Review from 3 stars in June -2021 to 2 Stars today. I went in there and it's not the only time I've been ignored by a worker, but the homie was on his phone giggling the entire time. I waited for 5 minutes (counted the time) and decided to walk out.
The last few times the price of the food and the service combined made it a bad decision. Even the Lee's Sandwiches' in Little Saigon have gone to hell. I don't know if there's not enough money or training but the turn-over is ridiculous and they seem to only hire latinos, which isn't a problem, but most of them don't know how to make a Banh-Mi correctly or over-milk the hell out of coffee to the point where it's just coffee-flavored-sugar milk. I've ordered Americanos (no milk) to avoid the issue and yet receive them with milk.
I can no longer recommend them as a location that is worthwhile visiting. I will try again in 6 months when I'm craving a pork bbq on a French Role, but there's some spots around that taste way better and offer better prices.
$9.50 doesn't make sense when I can get something better for $6.75 a block down the street at THH Sandwiches. Their coffee is also better and they offer other Vietnamese food as well.
Lee's: $9.50 for a sandwich, $7.00 for a coffee.
THH: $6.75 for a sandwich and $4.50 for a coffee.
And better service too even if you don't understand a word of Vietnamese. Just point...
