Warhammer — Local services in Westminster

Don't ever normally go out of my way to write reviews but this place is great.

Came there when I was bummed out and had some money Dan helped me get into the hobby pretty fast and was super cool(I had been following warhammer for almost 2 decades never got into the miniatures)

Fast forward to this year I had an absence for a few months and came back to find Dan gone. After the months of health issues I came back to find the order I placed was still there and I was able to receive it by the newer gentleman running the shop. He was super cool and if I was staying local I would still come back here every weekend if I could.

I highly recommend coming to the source here these people are super good at knowing their stuff and knowing how to help you with everything warhammer related. I honestly went from intimidated by painting to having confidence to go learn things on my own despite them having resources there to teach you...

Michael was helpful, informative and incredibly well read on the settings books. I've always been used to being the person in the room when among friends with by far the most 40k knowledge and familiarity with the universe and more lightly so the hobby, and I was blown away by his breadth of knowledge, his passion as well as his easy attitude and affable personality. My family has been going to this store for twenty years, starting with both of my older brothers, and my cousins, and with staff like this, I don't see any reason for that to change.

I've always been a bit distant from Tabletop due to the difficulty of getting into painting, and he never lacked for suggestions, tips or lessons. Even if all you're interested in is perhaps painting a mini or two for your shelf, or gifting a box for a collector you know, it's a great...

Not sure what happened to the previous manager, but the new one is quite obnoxious and awkwardly rude at times and doesnt seem capable of reading his customers (or the room.) My most recent visit he was doing an 40k into for a customer and was being so loud and obnoxious the rest of the people in the store (including myself) looked up at him, the at eachother. I felt more uncomfortable, the longer I was in the store and just grabbed a few essentials. I had gon in intendin to buy the Charadon terrain box (and data cards), and a couple different units... basically, the store lost out on a an additional $200-$300. Headed to Brookhurst Hobbies now and won't be coming...
