This is a fun place to go to. You can make paintings, macrame, or terrariums. There are well over 100 painting designs you can choose from that you can paint on wood slats, sliced tree trunk, or just plain canvas. Whatever design you chose, there is a person there to help you out and show what paint colors to use and how to make the designs work. There are many plants and goodies to choose from to make a terrarium. Don’t much about the macrame, but with as knowledgeable as the staff was about the other things, I’m sure they are helpful with this too. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a couple happy little accidents with my painting and suggestions were plentiful on how I could fix my painting. The owner was there when my wife and I were and she was great to talk with. She enjoys what she does and really makes you feel comfortable with whatever you’re working on. They do offer a wide selection of drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic and reasonably priced. The staff brings the drinks to you! This would really be a great place to go with a group or on a date. It’s also a good place to take a kid to do a project for mom, she’d love it.
I really do like this place, the prices vary depending on the project you choose, but it’s not too overly priced for what you get. Go and have fun!! Bust out your...
Read moreTook my fiancée to Inks and Drinks in Westminster, and it was the cutest date spot. We were nearly overwhelmed (in the best way) by the sheer amount of plants, art, projects, and terrariums—the latter of which we opted to make. Our person took our drink order and would circle back periodically, checking in and guiding us through each step of the process. They also took the time to educate us on how to care for and water our terrariums, which was super helpful. You just pay for the plants and a flat fee for the soil, and honestly, I had budgeted way more—the price was super doable. We brought our own thrifted glass containers, and there was a solid selection of plants and hardscape materials to create something custom.
Overall, it was just so nice to sit, sip, and create together. Even if you’re not artistic, it’s such a fun, hands-on experience. That said, my only qualm was that one of the plants or soil must have been carrying fungus gnats, which are brutal to deal with in an open terrarium. Some mold showed up, too—not unexpected, and our person did warn us, but I feel like they could bake or boil hardscape materials to minimize spores and treat for pests. We’re pretty avid terrarium makers, though, so maybe most people wouldn’t mind.
Still, such a great spot, and I’d absolutely...
Read moreI had sooo much fun making a terrarium here! The staff was really friendly and helpful. They encouraged us to pick out a container that we liked, and then to pick a bunch of plants we were interested in. Then they let us know which of those plants would work with our chosen container. The employee helping us even gave us information about how the plants would grow in the terrarium and showed us some finished terrariums with our chosen plants so we could see them with more growth. They helped us to pot it, and then we went wild decorating it with lots of little rocks, shells, sticks, and trinkets. Then they gave us very detailed instructions on how to care for it.
Very fun and unique activity!
The pricing depends on the container and plants that chosen, as well extras that are not included (crystals, moss, trinkets, etc). My fiancé and I both made medium sized terrariums, and our total was $150 for...
