On Friday March 13th at approximately 6pm my family and I went into the Wing Slingers Restaurant 8458 Federal BLVD for dinner. The woman at the register who took our order was kind of impatient and rude. She got irritated when my husband was unable to sign on the electronic card machine. But we just shrugged it off figuring she's having a bad day. Several minutes later she brings out our food and we immediately see it's not our order. She actually starts yelling at my husband and blaming him saying he raised his hand when she called the name from across the restaurant. That is just about impossible as my husband has holes in his eardrums making him partially deaf. He wouldn't have heard anything from across the restaurant. At this point it's only my family and one couple waiting for a to-go order in the restaurant. As the "Angry employee" comes back over she roughly gathers the food and says "it's all going in the garbage after you touched it." As she walks passed the other couple waiting she loudly says, "you can thank them for having to wait longer", pointing to us. At this point we are pretty much horrified and ready to leave. I ask her to speak to the manager and she says, "I am the manager and there is another manager in the back." The "other manager" comes out and we explain what happened and ask for a refund so we can get out of there. He apologizes profusely and says that there have many other complaints against the "angry employee". Also he says our original order is almost ready if we'd like to stay and eat. This manager was very nice and apologetic about the situation and we didn't want to cause any more problems for him so we stayed and ate. We also gave him a tip at the end of the meal for defusing the situation so quickly.
That being said: my family and I are fairly laid back and understand people have bad days. NEVER have we complained or had to deal with such an outrageous situation. This woman DOESN'T belong in customer service little lone a...
Read moreAbsolutely pathetic...I try calling at 12:30. No answer. Few minutes later. No answer. Again. No answer. Okay well I see good reviews and it’s only a mile from my house apparently. So I just go. A little disheartened when I see only one group of customers in here. I wasn’t upset to begin with because I understand people get busy and it is lunch rush. However two employees and just one order I can see justifies NEVER answering your phone??? But then while I’m in there waiting for my order, I see the girl taking orders answer the phone when it rings. It gets worse, definitely not my chief complaint. So then when she says my order is ready, I take it on faith everything is there. After all, in spite of everything I did not complain and I still left a $3 tip. But no...I get home and the fries that were supposed to be part of my lunch special were missing. I try calling again numerous times. Again no answer numerous times - so they can answer at times, but for the most part they won’t, especially if it’s a repeat caller. Never mind some repeat callers may have a legit reason! So I’ll admit, now I’m outraged. When I get there, the girl is laughing about it and the guy doing the brunt of the work and the cooking already had the fries ready, laughed with her telling her that he tried telling her about these fries before I left. Apparently she let me leave on purpose without them, or just didn’t care at all to check - either way, absolutely pathetic. Literally all one big joke. This place should be closed down. Doesn’t even matter if the food is good or not, and surely with their attitudes, it can’t be as clean as it should be. Not to mention the doors all need to be replaced. Seems like they’re already well on their way to closing down. While I don’t advocate the closure of any restaurant or family business, I will definitely make an exception here because from what I see they deserve it. Total and sheer...
Read moreThis all started because I got a coupon in the mail, I thought it would be nice to support a local business. When I arrived to pick up my food, I learned that the coupon was misleading. Only $1 off. The person who rung me up made sure to point that out, which made it sting even worse.
I ordered 6 flavors. ONLY 2 have anything on them. There were no labels on the 4 boxes letting me know what flavors they were. I ordered mild - extra hot (numerous flavors), so it would’ve been nice to know which flavor was which, especially as we have people that cannot have spicy food. The wings were flavorless and greasy. I could not believe the awful quality. I think if they sold wings at the Dollar Store, they would be better than these. These were the worst wings I have ever had in my life.
There was no ranch, no blue cheese, which I specifically requested. Meaning- I had dry wings with no sauce to try to dip them in. Yum!! :/
I spent $100 on the food alone and even tipped the staff on top of it. I called to complain and try to find a resolution as I have not had such horrendous wings. After speaking with a team member, all they could say was OK, thank you. They did absolutely nothing for me. I work in customer service for a living and this is not how you handle these types of situations.
