UPDATE 3/8/25 Located on Westwood's busy Broadway, we decided to have breakfast at this cozy establishment as a repeat performance. Reservation was easily made via Yelp for 10am. Upon arrival inside the main building of the Rolling Pin Cafe, my partner and I were greeted by the friendly staff and got a table right in front of the picturesque window. The cozy interior has characters featuring retro decorations filled with rolling pins from ages past as well as other kitchen accessories along with 6 tables. Their straightforward menu may be limited with classic comfort foods for breakfast and lunch with specials rotating weekly. We decided on the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Fresh Fruit and Florentine (spinach and feta) Skillet Scrambled accompanied by Roasted Potatoes with added side of Turkey Bacon. Their sweet potato salad that we crave is one of the more unique side dishes one will find, which is so delicious and mouthwatering and adds to any meal we decide to take some home. Everything’s made on-site, so it’s remained fresh and has that genuine homemade taste with wonderful flavors, which is hard to find these days. Portions were generous and the price was reasonable. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jeff, who was friendly and clearly working very hard, and he thanked us for helping make it possible. His staff were equally friendly and attentive, especially our server, who we didn’t get his name and Gina. What a great place to sit and relax with friends or family and catch up, which we continue to recommend.

Not a fan of this place, unfortunately. #1 disappointment is the food. Most of the food is just average. My wife had a vegetable sandwich, though, that had these large zucchini slices, and it turned out that the zucchini went bad - it had dark circles inside and tasted bitter. We also got a cappuccino and a mocha, and they were very mediocre. Additionally, the place is very small and crowded, with tiny tables where there wasn't enough space to place the food that we ordered and not enough space between the tables. On the menu they have a "sharing warning", that if you share your food with anyone at your table, they'll charge you $3. They don't seem to enforce this, which is good, but seeing it on the menu is just offensive and intimidating. The food prices are a little bit high for this type of food, but not terribly so. On the pros side is that everyone in this place is very friendly and the service is pretty fast. Unfortunately, it's not enough to offset everything else.

I’m new to the area and I was really in the mood for a refreshing salad! Every place I searched up on DoorDash had very basic salads, except for this spot.

I had the beet & fig salad- it was super fresh, and they are not stingy with the toppings like a lot of salad spots which I really appreciate. My new fav salad actually lol.

Everything else I tried- roasted zucchini sandwich, biscuits, sweet potato salad was super yummy.

My only critique was I asked to add grilled chicken to my salad and it was really dry, but with the dressing it was still delicious.

Can’t wait to try new...
