Overall the poorest experience I’ve ever had going to Hibachi, and this was our first time at this restaurant. I’ll highlight some of the experience and recommend you take your business elsewhere. The food was Mediocre at best. The restaurant was no busier than I’ve seen at other places, but we waited 45 mins at least for our drink order to be taken. When we asked a server that was passing by if someone could come over, they said ok and disappeared. A bit after, someone who was in normal clothes (not dressed as a server or host), hold her Dunkin’ Donuts cup asked if we wanted to order drinks “or something”. Then took a sip of her coffee (for reference she was the taller blond lady). We placed our order for our drinks. Some drinks arrived, others never came. When it was time to order food, we did so, and made it VERY clear of a shellfish allergy, and to have that plate cooked separately. Well that didn’t happen, and we had to repeat ourselves so many times that it must be cooked separately, that the dinner wasn’t eaten out of fear of shellfish. This has never been an issue at any other hibachi restaurant in several states. Additionally no one came over when we asked for something to be done about the plate being cooked separately. During the hibachi session (show part) Sake was not offered, nor was the vegetable toss, or flaming volcano onion. The cook threw everything on the grill, chopped and served. This isn’t the experience we came for. The real kicker to top it off is that with a large party, and having ordered a few Appetizers, we had to bring our own plates/cups to the bar because no one came to clear the dishes. We had no room for our dinner plates. How is this even possible? Overall the worst experience at a hibachi restaurant, we had a large party and it was for a birthday. Everyone ordered numerous items and you’d expect a fun experience during dinner. When I reached out to speak to the restaurant to give our feedback, I was told they are the best in CT, go try somewhere else and was hung up on. I’ll gladly take my...
Read moreBiggest mistake I ever made. It took an half an hour for us to get sat.. Wasn't even busy. I've worked in restaurants before and never have I seen such a bad service. We finally sat, to watch two parties that came AFTER us get served. Out waitress didn't waste time asking us if we wanted drinks, we wanted our Food. As the hour goes by the manger wants to provide appetizers on the house, gee thanks for the cold appetizers we'll eat it though because we waited forever !!
Wait theres more.. One of the members of our party was having a birthday and we had a very nice expensive cake waiting for her in their fridge. As we were waiting (another half hour) for this cake, we were told some stories regarding it. We ask whats taking so long, and was told our waitress slipped on ice cream she's hurt. Okay, we are people too but jeesh after another fifteen minutes we were wondering if she went to the hospital or something. But no, here she comes to tell us there was another party, and she didn't know whose cake was whose. Great. But then you have to think, wouldn't that party notice they got the wrong cake ?
So i decide to talk to the manager who is already very defensive and he says the cake is what was dropped. Realizing ive been lied to I wanted to resolve this issue, how were we getting reimbursed for this cake. We weren't.. Instead I had a manager swearing at me which of course upset the birthday girl, and in my defense other customers tried to explain what was the right thing to do he wasnt having it. It got to the point where a random customer reimbursed us for our cake which shouldn't have happend. I will never go there again. On top of all that they charged us all for the crappy food and service. If I could choose not selecting any...
Read moreSo this used to be my favorite go to spot for Hibachi but after my recent visit it no longer is. My husband and I stop in on a Sunday evening ; I ordered my usual spring rolls as an appetizer (I order them every time I go ) and my husband ordered his usual Godzilla rolls . When my spring rolls finally arrived I took a bite it immediately tasted sour as if the vegetables had gone bad. I politely signaled for my waitress to let her know what was going on, keep in mind my husband still hadn’t received his rolls we ordered for his appetizer and now the cook was starting to prepare our meal, so I asked her nicely just to cancel the appetizers since mine was stale and my husband’s hadn’t arrived. A few minutes later the Owner/Manager approaches my table to ask what was wrong with the spring rolls. I told him they weren’t fresh and the veggies were old. To my astonishment instead of a simple apology or asking if I would prefer something else he proceeds to tell me he sells “over 300” spring rolls a day and had the nerve to ask me if I would like to see his sales. I was completely taken aback and very agitated at this point as if I made the whole thing up and my taste buds were lying. Very disappointed in management. You should always consider the fact that your customer is right and try to accommodate them instead I was made to feel very uncomfortable.SO YES YOUR SPRING ROLLS...
