I maybe have written all of two reviews in my life, and am very forgiving when it comes to food services and restaurants. Not only that, but I usually give places two or three tries because I know everyone has off days. I just ordered about $150 worth of food for delivery from cannoli’s - the food arrived on time and the order was correct. That’s where the positive qualities end. The buffalo chicken tenders were greasy as all heck, and when I tilted the tray they came in, about 4 or 5 tbsp of oil drained into the corner, off of 7 or 8 tenders. All of the food was bland and lukewarm. Given that it’s delivery I don’t expect the food to arrive scalding hot, but it certainly didn’t get that cold in the 15 minutes it took the driver to get to me. The shrimp scampi tasted like it was made yesterday, was extremely bland, and the linguine also was chewy like day or two old pasta. The chicken gondola had no hint of Gorgonzola (which was the main reason I ordered it) and the Alfredo sauce clearly wasn’t fresh, likely a day or two old as well. I’ve made many chicken, pasta, and Alfredo dishes myself, I know the difference between freshly made and prep/cooked yesterday. The lasagna was a blob of bland sauce and limp pasta, didn’t resemble lasagna whatsoever. I am sorry to the folks at cannolis, but this was an extremely disappointing experience. Given the prices we paid, I expected much more. Can’t even bear to finish any of it, so now I feel bad for wasting the food as well. First time in my life I haven’t eaten all the food I ordered, I usually eat for several days on leftovers. Hopefully it was just a bad night, it seems like a lot of people like the food...
Read moreDon’t prejudge this restaurant because the parking lot isn’t full. The food was a SOLID Good. A little tweaking here and there and it’s Very Good. I Do Love his pizzas! They’re great and he’s Soo accommodating to what you want on it. The view is soo nice and the inside is very nice. Tables are clean and the chairs are nice. Frankly, I don’t get it! I’m a new resident to Weymouth so I can’t say “… I’ve been coming here for years…” but I think if I lived here more than a year, I’d have more visits here. But I was satisfied with the owner. He Definitely puts his heart into his work. I believe if the customer wasn’t satisfied, and they were Respectful, he’d try to understand the customers point of view and they’d come to an understanding. That’s the kind of owner he is. He wants you happy. He wants you full and he wants you to return. That’s what I’ll be doing because the last part of this nice restaurant is the Price of the food. It won’t break the bank and I appreciate when a restauranteur gives you a satisfying meal and doesn’t make you have to work overtime to go back.
7/14/25 Just came in for a nice lunch al fresco. I was greeted promptly. I asked for the patio seating. I had the bruschetta. It is very similar to the picture offered here on the site. Nice chopped tomatoes and garlic and olive oil. A little different spin on this appetizer, but its juiciness wouldn’t go well on top of the toasted bread so Vinny provides it in the center of the Plate! Nice!! Gnocchi today with a nice fresh light pomodoro sauce. So nice sitting by the water. Very relaxing. I’ll be back this week for Pizza...
Read moreI stopped by Cannoli's hoping for a satisfying lasagna for lunch, having passed it frequently on my way to I-93. Unfortunately, my curiosity led to disappointment.
The empty parking lot should have been a warning.
Went in, the place was empty too for a lunch hour.
I was about to leave when this guy in a shirt and jeans called me in and asked me to sit anywhere.
When I ordered for lasagna, he said I should order baked manicotti instead and explained how it’s similar but better than lasagna. I wanted to interrupt and let him know that I know what it is and I’ve been to South Italy many times to know it’s the American version of cannelloni but he obviously was selling this dish over lasagna so I just said yes, fine.
No wine list!!! The drink options were limited to cocktails, so I opted for water. The bread served was decent, but that was the highlight.
When the manicotti arrived, it was clear it had been reheated. The edges were hard, and the overpowering marinara sauce gave it a frozen dinner vibe.
The service was terrible! He would keep an awkward distance from the table to ask how the food was or if I needed anything.
I skipped dessert and coffee and left quickly, begrudgingly leaving a 15% tip. Stayed only for 30mins.
Stay away from this place. Save your time and money; there are better (and perhaps real) Italian...
