As a nice treat to myself, I decided to go to sweet lemons today. I went in and ordered my absolute favorite chicken wings and the chicken szechuan to go. I didn't have to wait long. I looked in the bag saw the chicken wings on top and on the bottom there was packaged meal so I happily went on my way home. When I got home (which is about 1/2 hour away) I took everything out of the bag. Wings looked good, but unfortunately there was a totally different chicken meal in the bottom of the bag! I was pretty frustrated because there was not one person in the restaurant, so its hard to imagine that they got orders mixed up. I drove ALLLLLL the way back and I cannot express how horrible things went from there. I asked what exactly was in the meal I ordered in case I was mistaken. The answer to "what is in the szechuan chicken" was "chicken" which was said with a chuckle. I then told them that my order was wrong and I required the correct meal. I also said that I needed my money back considering I had driven there, home, and there again. Thats about 1/2 EACH WAY. The man there argued with me about giving me my money. He turned his back and ordered someone else to do it. I got all the way home and realized that they got the last laugh. Despite my thorough examination of the meal before I left I failed to realize that there was no sauce on it at all. So what I received was boiled chicken and stir fried vegetable with absolutely no seasoning on it. There was a Sweet Lemons location in Abington that I used to frequent. The service was wonderful and the food amazing. Unfortunately the location in Weymouth is nothing like that. Poorly done...
Read moreSo disappointed in our Sweet Lemons take out food tonight. We have ordered food from here for years and it’s always delicious. I believe they have changed ownership since we last ordered and I am sad to say I don’t think I will be returning. They used a different noodle for their pad Thai (closer to a spaghetti noodle) instead of the flat rice noodle. Their Panang Curry with beef which was always so flavorful and robust lacked both flavor and beef. We had to search for extremely small pieces of beef in it as it was basically all green beans and peppers with a watery sauce. The basil flavored stir fry with chicken didn’t have one piece of basil in it nor could you taste any real seasoning or spice. It also lacked flavor and the sauce was greasy. The online menu and the written menu in the restaurant says the main dishes come with rice but I was told that is no longer true. (Although he did give rice to me before I left with my to go order so I guess they made good on that). All in all disappointed enough to look for a...
Read moreI'll attempt to keep this constructive and will say I'm never compelled to leave a review - and here I am. Like others have recently shared - this restaurant was my goto Thai food spot here on the south shore. I haven't been in about 6 months and something changed with the food in a bad way. I could get into the details and will spare you all. What needs to be said is that Sweet Lemons needs to get back to doing it the way they used to to get the rating they currently have as they dont deserve this rating anymore. I'll be driving a little further for a bit and check back in here in a couple months. Thai Bar Shi is right up the street and I've often not bothered to order from there but I may have to until such time as Sweet Lemons gets back to making their food closer to how it used to be. The most disappointing dish was the Kra Pow chicken... just do it right.. Fingers crossed whatever happened can...
