Walmart — Local services in Weymouth

I was at Walmart in Weymouth as recent as Monday 10/21/2024. Of all places I find they keep going up, up, up on all there prices. They are no longer the place to go for great deals. I buy all my cats necessities at Walmart. Every single time I go in there the prices have gone up. A real small can of cat food was . 66¢ yesterday it was . 88¢ I'm talking the smallest can available. The bag of cat litter use to be $4.50 now it's up over $6.00. Every single product they sell keeps going up pretty much on a steady monthly basis. I actually found that stop&shop next door is cheaper than Walmart now on some items. Never thought I'd see that happen. Walmart is nickel and diming there customers for broke. It's really gotten out of hand. The Greed that Walmart is punishing it's customers with is so out of hand. I would really like to start a boycott of Walmart and make them stop with the price increases. It's out of control. If I could ask news stations to maybe do a story on it. Ask people to either stop shopping there or really cut back on there purchases. We as a society deserve better. I'm 65 yrs old. Disabled with M. S. And I'm sure like alot of people out there living on limited income, people that aren't making $100.000 a yr are trying to survive. Walmart has changed so much especially since the whole COVID thing. I use to enjoy shopping at Walmart. Those days are long gone. Im old fashion. I've always used instant coffee. I use the powdered creme for coffee. It use to be $3.69 for a large container. It's almost $6.00 now. Now you figure all these products they keep raising the prices. Monthly. Take those cans of cat food I was talking about earlier you figure they have gone up roughly . 25¢ on every small can. Multiply that . 25¢ on hundreds and hundreds of thousands of cans sold, this is just cat food. One item. The profit alone is thru the roof. The coffee creme up over $2.00 per 35.3 oz container. How many of these do they sell thru out there stores. Look at the things your use to buying. I'm sure you have noticed price increases on a regular basis. It's almost like Walmart is testing the public to see just how far they can go. If people don't start putting there foot down and say bull crap. Enough already. Most people have families, we all have bills to pay. Things can get really tight. REALLY TIGHT. I mean my cable bill is over $200 a month. That's just basic cable. No pay stations. Basic. Yet Xfinity keeps going up. These companies are really putting pressure on a lot of families to the point where you say to yourself I'll have to put off paying this bill till I can straighten this out. We have so much power when it comes to how a store or company operates. If we just keep going along with these price hikes it just continues to add pressure to our living circumstances. It's going to get tougher and tougher until we stand up to these companies. If enough people get involved then changes will happen. But it's all up to us, I know I'm so tired of going to the store or sitting down to pay bills and there just isn't enough money. Again. It's all up to us to make a difference. Would like to hear from anyone who's as fed up as IAM and maybe work together on figuring out a way to stop these folks from ruining our chances of trying to live a somewhat normal life. It was busy and difficult to find a parking spot because all of there shopping carts were scattered around the lot that day, once inside it was busy but thankfully there is plenty of room to move away from others and stay 6"ft apart. I had a hard time choosing a birthday gift for my 5 year old grandson because a lot of the toys & outdoor water games were sold out. I got a little stressed out when I saw that but I eventually found & settled on a really cool Batman face mask (made for 5 yr old age group) when put on by the child & the child pressed an easy to find button the Mask could talk & sound like Batman/also it appeared to change childs voice using several of it's preset Batman Superhero style sounds/sentences. It was the only one and the price was good for under $30. I also got a really cool package that came with several Large & Assorted Dinosaur play figurines, I knew my 5 yr old Grandson would love. That was a great price for under $15. The line seemed quite long when I went to check out but to my surprise it moved very quickly and was monitored well by employees to keep the long line moving quickly. Thankfully the last minute toys I bought were a huge hit at the birthday party! He loved the Mask especially... if the parking lot wasn't scattered with shopping carts I would have rated with 5 stars. Knowing how hard it has been for everyone during this epidemic I just want to say Thank you to all the store employees and Management/Owners for doing the best you can and keeping the stores open and accessible to the public allowing most of us to keep going on with our daily lives. If we all work together and follow the guidelines, keep wearing our masks although they can be very uncomfortable, especially continue to wash our hands often & continue to keep a safe distance away from others we as a Nation can and will eventually get through this pandemic! Stay positive and mindful of ourselves & others and of course Pray for those in need who may not be in a position to even go shopping or have Birthday parties for loved ones.. Help your community/neighbors if you can. Have Faith & God...

2025: went in to buy a lounger for outside. Online said it was in stock. Went in and the box was empty. Waist of time. This store has slowly gone down hill over the years just like the Quincy location.

2023: We frequently shop at this location for household items. Went in to buy one item a few nights ago , LED lamp for gel nail polish. They had a few in stock , but it was hard to find, the one box was laying down in it's spot, and the two other boxes were on top of the top shelf( not in arms reach) so it took us awhile to find the box just cuz the front wasn't visible and it looked like the only ones they had were out of reach, and the person working that section was a small older woman. We finally noticed the box and figured to check it, it was what we came for. Get home and noticed the tape on one side was already broken. When opening up the box , it looked like it was already used( with how it was packed and missing 1 of the 3 pieces) , the adaptor that plugs into the wall. I'm guessing that was why there was an empty clear bag with the USB. When checking out the wire and lamp, the wire it had a chunk of rubber missing from the end that plugs into the lamp. When checking out the lamp, one of the clear bulbs was blackened like it was burnt out. In the directions, it says the light stays on for 30 seconds and blinks 15 second intervals. The light do not stay on like stated. I used a nail file to show for scale. It only has room for 4 fingers and thumbs have to be done separately. I haven't used it yet with nail polish, but plan on it very soon even though I'm skeptical on how it will work after reading reviews.
