Update Review 02/09/25 came in this morning with my mother 9am Sunday for brunch. The staff here are friendly and welcoming! The Brunch is great you get to pick from pancakes, French toast, home fries, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, a chef makes fresh omelet with topping, and they have steak cut right off the slab. The home fries are delicious and the steak is so so good it’s seasoned well tender and mouth watering delicious! Also have fresh fruit. Our server was name MJ. S she was GREAT always checking to see if we needed anything refilling coffee without asking and just making sure food was ok and she was a GREAT representative of Mad Hatter restaurant! We will comeback because of the great food and the great service from the staff and MJ! The bathroom was clean and well kept. Will recommend to family and friends to come here for the vibes and good food! Was in Weymouth in area and stopped in to have breakfast 9:15am today. Dee D. Was my server very friendly and welcoming with a smile the place was nice looking inside. I got the Hungry Man breakfast plate, pancakes, toast, home fries, Han, sausage, bacon and 2 eggs. I got banana pancakes, light fluffy nit to heavy the bacon was crispy as I ordered, home fries tasted delicious, eggs over easy cooked perfectly, ham grilled tasty and sausage was cooked perfectly. I got raisin toast. Very hardy breakfast and good portion of food. This is a great spot free parking and plenty of seating inside at bar or Resturant area. Will be back again to try other selections on menu.

I was excited about going here for breakfast since they changed their location a couple of years ago. Every time we drove by at their old location there was always a line waiting outside to get in. I don’t understand all the hype.! The food was just average , just blah! My eggs were overcooked, corn beef hash burnt and my toast not toasted, $14.00( way over priced) it states on the menu that the corned beef is homemade I don’t believe that for a second it had to come from a can way too much salt ! My husbands crispy French toast was decent, but came with no sides, $13.00 for 2 slices of bread. My daughter got the steak and eggs she enjoyed her meal, the potatoes seasoned well, steak cooked medium , the eggs were overcooked. I forgot to look at the price. The bill came out to $61.00 for breakfast in this was with no alcohol, juice, and coffee! So there’s plenty of parking out front and in the back, outdoor seating and handicap accessible for parking and dining. I used to hear a great things about this place, but I just didn’t see what the great things were.! so disappointed. I wish I went to their old location instead! We will not be back.! BTW: our server was very nice!

Corned beef isn’t something I have or make except for St Patrick’s day, so I was glad to try with eggs for breakfast. It didn’t have much seasoning (like the corned beef you get from the store and put in a slow cooker with cabbage and carrots and onions). It was good, but I added salt. The eggs and the panini bread were delicious. The potatos are unique! It looks like they are sliced and cooked in the circles you’d use for scalloped potatos. I liked!!! The portions were HUGE!!!! Breakfast became lunch. This is a picture of my sandwich before I ate it. This is after removing some of the corned beef because I was too full. Plenty of parking out front. They also have a family restroom, which was really big! I bet people with kiddos are super grateful for that, but it also makes wheelchair use easier I would imagine. I met a friend for her birthday and we got mocktails. I think the strawberry lemonade would be better with mint, not basil. The basil wasn’t good. But the lime grapefruit drink was fantastic!

Nice looking pub. Setup like a fancy restaurant. Plate sizes were quite big. Prices are decent. Taste quality was nice too. Staff are attentive and friendly. My soup and drinks for my group came out kind of late so didnt finish my soup before the entree. But experience was overall good so didnt kill stars for that. Menu had lots of options so that was nice. Food is a bit on the heavier side unless you got salad so if you're a light eater then be prepared. Server didnt memorize the specials but at least she sounded like she knew what she was talking about. What would make it better is if they knew who the dishes went to but it was a different person who delivered the food. I would highly recommend this place and would visit this place again. They have their own parking spots so made it easy. The bar area is in a slightly different room with live entertainment. It wasnt too loud so my group and I enjoyed it. With drinks and food, the total was only a bit over $100 after gratuity for 4 people.

***Edited, new location: 3/2019: New review. The restaurant has moved, is totally new and has a revised menu. We had dinner, and it was all wonderful! We shared the world's best potato pancakes, served with a sneak up on you spicy cream sauce. I had a truly fabulous Yankee pot roast, served with mashed potatoes and turnips. My friend had a cheeseburger that came with these crazy looking, curved, thick potato wedges. All quite delicious. We split a house made ice cream pie. Also just great. The prices were great and so was the service. Plenty of parking. Will absolutely return. What a fabulous change! They make you wait outside for your table. Fine in good weather, but this is New England. Narrows the times I would eat here considerably. I also really dislike bathrooms that are in the kitchen. The breakfast potatoes were very spicy; too spicy for a normal diner, okay if that's what you want. My requested eggs over easy came out hard. Toast was cold. My mother loved her corn chowder.

HAD to leave 5 stars for this new to me joint that serves up unbelievably fantastic food. Went here on a random Wednesday a few weeks ago, sat at the bar, had a few drinks and ordered the fish and chip. It was incredible! Very flakey cod and light breading. Decided to bring my parents out to dinner here tonight in hopes of great waitstaff, and we totally lucked out with Adam! Awesome service all around. I ordered pulled pork Mac and cheese, my dad got the pot roast, and my mom got the Ruben sandwich. All 3 of our meals were fantastic. Enough for me to post this review! Both times I’ve been, it’s been very quiet. And although I love a more low-key place, this one deserves way more attention than it has! Truly hope someone like Phantom Gourmet could feature them. Not only is the food great, the prices are very reasonable! Really hope more folks check this place out. Also included a pic of their specials they run during the week! Go here! You won’t regret it!
