My wife and I have twice visited this newly opened 'family type' cooking style 'Take-Out' place, because it specializes in a menu to please every kind of palate and food is different from other surrounding Indian food places. We were impressed with the quality of ingredients, portion size, freshly prepared food made to the spice level of our choice. Healthy, quality food comes with a price tag-fair enough! Kudos to the very enterprising owner and chef Moumita, who is pleasant, welcoming and needs to be supported and commended for this new venture. Kolkata is known for its tasty Bengali cuisine & some of the items transported us back in time to Kolkata, West Bengal, India. it was refreshing to see the Bengali names of the dishes alongside a variety of fare being served. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to enjoy some of our favorite Bengali food items right here in Weymouth, MA. Best Wishes-we will come...
Read moreRecently picked up Mutton Biryani, an egg roll, and Chana Masala with puris from Kolkata Cuisine. While the owner was polite and respectful, and my food was ready on time, there are several areas where they need to up their game.

The egg roll was decent but certainly didn’t justify the $15 price tag and fell short of the authentic Kolkata style I was hoping for. As for the Chana Masala, it was bland and lacking the required spices; I found myself needing to spice it up at home.
Given that this place is less than a month old and faces stiff competition, it's crucial for them to improve their food quality if they want to succeed. I hope they take this feedback to heart and elevate their offerings...

The spices are layered and subtle and come across as a fine wine might with waves of flavor. You will recognize many of the names of their dishes, but if you are looking to find the same boring Chicken Tikka you can find at any other Indian Restaurant, this place may not be for you. The spices are different and more abundant. The flavors more complex and interesting. A bit bolder and more grown-up to the Western palate than run-of-the-mill. Even the rice seems special and is an ultra long grain basmati. Try the goat on the bone. Or compare your go-to Indian favorite for a new perspective and experience. Clean cooking by caring people who are devoted to their food. You will not...
