Put simply, this place rules. If you've read about the garbage plate but don't see yourself traveling to the Flower/Flour City anytime soon, you should feel comfortable having your first garbage plate experience here. Or just getting a burger if you're in the neighborhood and don't have the intestinal fortitude for a full plate.

I don't say this lightly. People from Rochester have a lot of strong opinions about plates and if you read the reviews here you'll get the (correct) sense that this place does things right (meaning they've nailed the flavor profile of the important ingredients while elevating the food quality beyond what you'd get from the original purveyors of plates).

My garbage plate bona fides in case it matters: I went to the original Nick Tahou's so much growing up that when they switched from Tabasco to Red Hot as their house hot sauce, the fine people at Nick's kept a bottle of Tabasco for me behind the counter for nearly 2 years.

Colorado Hots also has excellent wings (definitely among the best non-asian wings I've had in CO), chicken finger subs for our friends from Buffalo, and you can also get their enormous chicken fingers from their other concept, mobile chicken finger emporium, Downtown Fingers. I wish they were able to serve me an ice cold tallboy Genny Creme Ale but maybe that'll come with time.

This place encapsulates the heart of upstate New York. You could feel the sense of pride, dedication, and passion amongst the team. The space itself is laid back and raw- it is a refreshing environment. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner. He was both welcoming and genuine.

Trips back home a garbage plate is nonnegotiable and a rite of passage. I am so grateful to finally experience a garbage plate in Colorado. This plate is made to order with fresh ingredients and a slice of home.

I ordered the classic cheeseburger plate with everything. (If you know, you know) The home fries are crispy and flavorful, the meat sauce is perfection and the Mac salad is just right.

I would 100 percent recommend trying this restaurant out. I can’t wait to...

Book my flight to Rochester now. If this is how they do wings up there, I need to go. This place is in the conversation or best wings in Denver. Not only was the staff friendly, the place looked nice and clean, but the wings.... Oh my lord the wings. I ordered All flats regular and breaded. The regular was tossed in the mild lemon pepper, and the breaded has boss sauce on the side (didn't want them to get soggy before I got home). Well let's just say 4 or 5 of those wings didn't make it out the parking lot haha. Top tier place. I'll be sending all my other wing connoisseurs here. If the wings are this good, now I gotta try everything else...
