I've ordered here many times, always vegetarian (you can substitute tofu instead of meat for most if not all of their dishes). I personally love their food and it had ended my search for an Asian restaurant! Over the years I have always had a good experience with the staff as well. However, there is one man that works there that I've had to interact with a lot more recently and he makes me feel bad about my order, patronizes me, and just has an overall bad attitude. He literally scoffed at my friend for adding a tea to her order, and this was AFTER he failed to make it as a call-in order for pick up so we were having to wait for it. So things were looking pretty likely that I wasn't going to return. Seriously every step of the elongated process was just awful. It's too long of a story to type out here.
However, I just went back on the weekend to get my last order fixed (yes, the same one I had to wait for twice and was scoffed at about was SO messed up all I could eat was the rice) and the man working that day is who I used to always interact with. He is so nice, respectful, helpful, etc. I could go on and on with compliments. I did find out when he works and now know to ONLY GO ON THE WEEKENDS (Fri, Sat, Sun) to ensure I will have a good experience. Me continuing to go there is strictly due to him. GIVE HIM A RAISE. I don't know your name, but I hope you know you are appreciated!
tl;dr: The place is great Fri, Sat, and Sun. Awful any other day. The missing star is due to...
Read moreProfoundly disappointed in our order this evening. I ordered the sesame chicken, which seemed likely to have been purchased frozen. End result was soggy, bland and had unpleasant gristley and hard bits in it. My girlfriend ordered pad Thai, and requested that the eggs and fish sauce be left off as she is vegan. They don’t list any other ingredients and don’t give you the option to select a protein when ordering like some places do. All that considered, we were quite surprised when our order arrived and the pad Thai had chicken. We called Pho Fusion and they said when an order is received via postmates and no protein is selected, they just add chicken (???). They refused to replace the incorrect order and that was that.
I tried eating the pad Thai since it was no longer edible for my girlfriend and that was probably worse than the sesame chicken and tasted like old, burnt oil and the chicken in it... I’d have to liken it to leather but I think leather probably has more flavor. Anyway, 95% of the food will be going to the dogs since I think they’ll have a better chance of stomaching it. I won’t be ordering from here again, but if you decide to... I don’t know, just take your money and set it on fire as it’ll be a much better use of your...
Read moreI've been here a few times. The Pho is just okay, the beef is thin, chewy and over cooked, but it's close to work & home. On my last visit about half-way through my Pho, a fly floated to the surface. There weren't any flies in the dining area that I saw, and there certainly were none near me while I ate; it was undoubtedly in the broth when it arrived at my table. Upon discovery of the insect, I took my bowl up to the counter and pointed it out. The first person i spoke to took the bowl to the back of the kitchen and offered me more fly soup. I declined. When I was asked to speak to the kid running the register, he told me that the fly got in there while I was eating, after I told him it hadn't. He said "Well" and shrugged. In some ways I'm glad the food isn't anything special because I won't miss not going back. Any establishment that serves you soup with insects in it, calls you a liar, and doesn't immediately offer at least a refund, is really just awful. If you like fly soup and terrible service, give this...
