Not sure if its a wonderful, quiet park for younger kids or to call it woefully inadequate. I wish Denver would invest a little more in their park spaces. The playground is cute, but laughably small.
Pros: it is a small neighborhood park, quiet, and great for toddlers. shaded picnic tables under giant old trees, and an open field for soccer, etc.
Cons: despite the signs everywhere, nobody keeps their dog on a leash. Very annoying if you're trying to teach your toddler how to go down a slide and off-leash dogs run over to try to meet my dog. Zero enforcement (not even sure who is supposed to enforce that) and tons of attitude from dog owners when confronted. Bathrooms are usually closed and seem sketchy when they're open. Sand pit feels like an afterthought and is pretty dirty. Field gets rented out for camps, so sometimes the tiny park is overrun by campers and their families.
