Replying to the BOSS review: first of all, we did not ask 10blue crab at the first time. We asked for 5 at the time we sat down! An hour later, we asked for 10blue crab BECAUSE! NO crab was brought to us at the FIRST ROUND!!! Then they told us there’s only 2 left. I don’t care how many the crab that the next table has. I just want to know why, when we ask at the first round, nothing brought to us.!!!! Also, I say it’s not a big of deal is cuz your manager attitude was just not right, I don’t want to make the argument to be taken seriously. We are owners of restaurant, we also know how to server our customers. Even we didn’t have a good time, we also have to apologize and say goodbye to your customers!!! NOTHING WAS SAID BY YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!!! This isn’t how customer service!!! We as a customer, we couldn’t file a complaint with your manager. That’s what he told us!! Why are we complaining about the crab. If that’s the way you guys does customer service, that good for you. OH, ALSO FOR CUSTOMERS THAT COMES HERE FOR THE CRAB, JUST A HEADS UP. THE MANAGER TOLD ME,THEY WILL START CHARGING BLUE CRAB NEXT MONTH OR SOON. ONLY THE FIRST ROUND IS FREE WITH THE ALL YOU CAN EAT. THEN IF YOU WANT THE SECOND OR THIRD ROUND IT WOULD BE CHARGED. JUST LOOK FOR THAT, DON’T OVERPAY! I hate to give reviews. Today is my mom’s birthday, so we decide to try out this new hotpot bbq place. Food quality is good, no complaints on that. But!!! The service here seems like they don’t care about customers.(They probably just don’t care about us). Four adults, 2 toddlers and 2infants. We ordered hotpot and bbq, the server told us just circle whatever we like on the menu and she will order them for us. We circled many items, but!!!!!!! One piece of each item came to the table for the 6of us. When she came back to us, we told her if she could bring us more cuz, we don’t have enough to eat. Like… 30mins later, she brought it to us. We even asked the bar guy to bring us food. We ordered blue crab at the first round, it wasn’t brought to us. The second or third I couldn’t even remember, we asked again! She brought two blue crab and told us that’s all they have. But the table that’s next to us got more crab. And they came after us, we order first, but only two crab. We asked if we can speak with the manager, why only two crab brought to us when we ask at the first round and even before the next table. He explained (in Chinese): that’s all we have, I can’t take their crab and give it to you guys right? What do you want me to do? Just for the two crab we have. And he’s like, all I can do is a 15%off. But the attitude was just not right. I’m not here to look for an argument and ask some money off. We came here because it was a new opening. We were just looking for an “sorry” Not arguing with the customer about the stupid crab. After that, it just became really bad service!!! Like BAD!!!! We’re still eating, the server came over and asked us: do you like more food? I told her: no, we’re good now. The next thing she said: do you want the check. I’m like??? Excuse me??? We’re still eating. We don’t want to add any food, doesn’t mean that we want to pay right now!!! After we’re finished eating, my mom went to make a payment. Right before my mom made the payment, the lady in the back came with her cart for cleaning. We haven’t walked away from the table yet!!!!! Which!!!!! She blocked our way out!!!! We had two infant stuck there and waited for the lady to finish cleaning!!!!!! This is customer service??? Blocking your customers?????????????? And the manager’s customer service is just horrible!!!!! No apologies!!!!! Even we walked out, the other manager or boss didn’t even say “have a good night” or “thanks for coming, see you next time” Just looked at us with an...
Read moreWow. This restaurant is sooooo good. My boyfriend is picky with his food and we usually find places that are mediocre. This restaurant is FAR from mediocre.
We were the first ones in for lunch and our server was so gracious and helped explain what they have and what we can order. (She told me she was newer and still getting used to serving, but she was PHENOMENAL.) We got our own sauces and seasonings at their little sauce/seasoning bar. We then got our own mix-ins (noodles, veggies, meatballs, etc) for our hot pot broth.
Then, we made our hot pot and our server helped us understand how to control the hot pot heat to cook the ingredients all together. We then got all our meat and began grilling. Our server had recommendations for us and we were not disappointed with what she recommended for us. (We ordered peppered beef, beef short ribs, a few types of pork belly, and fatty lamb.) From the first bite, my boyfriend and I were so happy. It's hard to find a good place to eat and this place has everything you need to have a tasteful and enjoyable meal, especially if you're pregnant with twins who are picky with what you can eat!
A few items to note: -You can get both the hotpot and BBQ, or you can simply do one or the other. -Their selection of ingredients for hot pot is diverse, from several noodle and meat choices, to a whole row of different veggies: mushrooms, pumpkin, broccoli, sprouts, lettuce, etc. They also have tofu and other vegetarian options if you need. -They will switch out the grill paper after your first round of grilling. There is cooking oil on the table. -You can get as much as you want for all you can eat (one price for all of it). -They have Coca Cola products, teas, alcoholic beverage options, and the best-tasting ice. -If you have questions or need anything, all you have to do is ask and they will help you out. -There are large party tables and booths if you need to feed a party of people.
Basically, we WILL be back, and we will bring everyone we know. If I could give more than five...
Read moreWe went for dinner on a Friday night, there was no wait and we did the hot pot and barbecue combo for $35 a person. One thing to be aware of is that everyone at your table has to do the same choice (ie hot pot only, barbecue only, or both). There are a wide variety of options including broths, meat, seafood, noodles, vegetables and a make your own sauce station. The selected portion sizes are very small so don’t be afraid to select multiple options on your first round. The favorites at our table were the marinated pork belly and short ribs, the pickled daikon (radishes) from the sauce station, and the cream puffs.
The staff was courteous and kind. One odd thing is that they don’t seem to have beverages other than water. There is a bar with alcohol but we weren’t offered anything other than water and there were no drinks listed on the menu (at least the menu we got).
Wheelchair accessibility: in general you can tell that this restaurant has thought about wheelchair accessibility. There are a couple of accessible parking spots with wide access lanes. There are a set of double doors to get in without an automatic opener, they weren’t very heavy and plenty of maneuvering room in between the sets. The layout is spacious and staff were very thoughtful about making sure we had a table that would work best for us. Unfortunately the way the hot pot table is set up, it is so low that I couldn’t wheel my legs under it/get all the way up to the table which made it challenging and uncomfortable (and I am short statured so my legs are lower to the ground than most wheelchair users). This is different than other hot pot restaurants where I have been able to comfortably sit at the table. The women’s bathroom had a fairly light door; the accessible stall was pretty tight with not much turning radius, and the bathroom was a bit grungy. There doesn’t seem to be a menu online so not an accessible way to view with a screen reader at least that...
