3 Margaritas Wheat Ridge — Restaurant in Wheat Ridge

Have had an enjoyable experience every time, until today. Went in on off hours, and were seated immediately. Waiter comes to the table in an extremely dirty white shirt, never makes eye contact, and rushes us through our drink order. After drinks come, we get rushed through our food order, still no eye contact, and we begin the wait for food...and we wait, and wait, and wait some more. Finally another WONDERFUL server brings out our daughter's food, and has to ask us what the rest of our order was, and we ask for drink refills, as our original server is no where to be found, we wait, and wait some more...finally 10 minutes after our daughter's food arrives, we get our food, that's obviously been sitting in the window for a while. Still no sign of the original server! Finally as we're finishing our pretty awful food, to the best of our ability, our original server decides to grace us with his presence. He did get us a box for our daughter's food, and we ask for the bill, and SURPRISE, we wait some more. Finally, we just get up from the table, and our server makes a beeline for our table, so that he can give us the bill. My husband and I are both in customer service, and he works for tips, so we figure if you don't know something's wrong, then how can you fix it!? Husband is fuming at this point, and asks to speak to the manager. He could have just saved his breath! Manager didn't give two shakes about our bad experience, and his only response was that he would check the cameras in the kitchen to see what went wrong with the food, yet says nothing about our horrible service. As previously mentioned, we rely on tips ourselves, so we understand, but it was really hard to tip for such AWFUL service, yet we did. We won't be back to waste our money here, and so sad, as this used to be our go to place when craving Mexican food. I hope others don't have to go through what we went...

This is usually my date night pick! I love the margaritas and chicken taquitos. The second to last time we went, service was pretty horrible. Our waitress only came by a couple of times. We figured it was just an off night and didn't give it a second thought....until this last time.

We went in on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few tables taken and then one big party. We sat right next to the big party. They were SO LOUD. The manager kept going over to ask them to quiet down. Their kids kept running from their table inside to the patio outside. We asked to move and were granted our wish....and that was the last time we saw our waitress without having to get her ourselves. She came back twice-- once after we snagged a different waitress and asked if she could grab our waitress; the second (and last time) was 27 minutes later. We had already finished what we wanted of our food and wanted boxes. We wanted the check. Finally, I got up and went to stand by the register. Three waiters/waitresses were sitting eating near our table. On the opposite side of the restaurant, our waitress was also sitting down and eating.

I started wondering if there comes a point when you can legally leave the restaurant without paying if NO ONE will give you your check. A waitress asked us what we needed, I said our waitress and pointed saying, "I think she forgot about us. We just want our check and boxes. We'd like to leave." When she finally did come over to our table with the check and boxes, there were no apologies, no explanation. Not even, have a good day.

We won't be back for a long time. We'll go to Alma instead. It's a bit more pricey but worth it for quality...

The service sucked, my fiancé wasn't quite ready to order her drink yet, and instead of asking me if I was ready, the waitress just walked off. Then she brought us our water, and started to walk off again, I threw my hands up and she decided to take our order finally. The bartender works behind a wall, so you can't watch him or her make your drinks. Which is really kind of sketchy to me. We got our drinks in relatively decent time, however they were beyond terrible! Mine had an off rotten taste it, and tasted really watered down. I ordered my food with all rice no beans, I still got beans, when I sent it back the waitress made it seem like it was my fault. She took it back and brought the food out the way I ordered it, and said here basically dropping the plate in front of me. The food wasn't bad, but not great. I asked for a manager so I could bring up my issue with my drink. When I explained to him what the issue was, he immediately cut me off and made up some BS excuse as to why it tastes the way it does. He said he'd have another made, brought it out to me and this time all I could taste was tequila. Instead of arguing with him further, I gave up and said it was fine. Which brings me to my final issue with this place. They claim to use hornitos tequila in their margaritas, however, the tequila I had in mine was definitely NOT hornitos, it was some bottom shelf nasty crap. If you want to go to a 3 Margaritas and actually enjoy your experience I'd recommend avoiding this one at all costs and heading 92nd and Wadsworth, a little further north east from this one, but so worth the drive to avoid the...
