7/23/22: Still has great burgers. I get the 'single,' all the way Burger. Their burgers have some kind of mild sauce on them that makes them different and great. My son loves them too. It was his idea to go. They're open until 1:00 a.m. so I never have to worry if they're still open. Nice folks too.
1/26/22: excellent chicken wings, though small, and hamburgers. For the wings I get buffalo, not too hot. Ordered them many times. Perfectly cooked and hot every time.
4/20/21: excellent chicken wings, though small. I get buffalo, not too hot. Ordered them twice now. Perfectly cooked both times.
2/20/21: Dine-in. They have some wild sandwiches, but this time I just had the single grilled cheeseburger, all the way. It was great. Generous cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce and some sauce that really made the burger. Dine in, but they have a special window just for Grubhub and Uber delivery drivers. See my picture. Open until 1:00am Sunday - Friday and 3:00am on Saturday.
Previously: This was my first visit to a Fat Shack. It's a cool place. This one had 'dine-in' and only two other customers in the dining room. My son ordered a single patty cheeseburger and said it was one of the best he had ever had. He was sensible. I asked the counter person what his favorite sandwich was and he said it was the Pioneer. So I ordered a large Pioneer not realizing that one large sandwich was 2040 calories. It was all I could do to eat half (I saved the other half for the next day). It contained the meat that's in a Philly cheese steak sandwich, french fries and macaroni and cheese in the sandwich, among other things. Oh. And they put a thin, sweet bbq sauce on it. Sounds strange but it was tasty.
They also had fried Oreos which of course we had to try. They were great. They were actually an Oreo inside kind of a large donut-hole and deep fried like a donut. These were perfectly cooked and were served hot. Wonderful.
I'll go back for a fried Oreo but will have to try a different sandwich that is less of a...
Read moreSeemed like it would be a good place to try but mediocre in the end. I called for a pick up order and was told it would be ready in 8-10 mins, ended up getting it at least 30 mins later. The kid on the phone was slow, it was like he had 45 second delay or something which made it hard to order. Then he charged me $27 for my order. When I questioned the price he gave me attitude thinking I was complaining about the wait time. Finally got thru to him and ordered a single burger and mozzarella sticks. Seriously must’ve said single burger at least 3 times to the guy. I then verified the order because the kid didn’t seem that reliable. When I got there I had to wait at least 30 mins and they still got my order wrong. I had to catch them at the register and tell the I only wanted a single burger not a double. It took them over 5 mins to refund me the difference. Meanwhile they have a huge line if people backing up. I finally get my refund after I waited in line, then I go wait another 15 mins at the pick up window. Not to my surprise the order came with a double burger instead of the single I wanted. The burger was not worth the wait or money and I could get better mozzarella sticks at Walmart for $1.86. Usually when u have to wait an exorbitant amount of time you at least get a free drink or something. I didn’t even get an apology. And how you gonna get the order wrong after I reminded you three times on the phone and once at the damn register!?!?. #overrated #disappointed #uber eatsandgrubhubdriverswerepissedtobewaitingsolongaswell...
Read moreTonight, I took my family, including my teenage daughters and wife, to Fat Shack in hopes of discovering a new dining spot. Unfortunately, our visit fell far short of expectations.
Let's start with the food. The wings were shockingly small—beyond merely small, they were tiny, and tasted like they hadn't changed the frying oil in ages. The Philly cheesesteak was bland and unremarkable, lacking any special flavor or appeal. Despite spending $75, the amount of food we received was woefully inadequate; none of us left feeling remotely satisfied.
Service was another major letdown, earning a dismal -4 out of 10. The staff was outright rude, which put a damper on our already disappointing meal.
Spending our hard-earned money here felt like a regrettable decision. It's disheartening to see positive reviews when our experience was anything but positive. This level of dissatisfaction borders on feeling ripped off. In summary, our visit to Fat Shack was incredibly disappointing, and I urge others not to be swayed by any positive feedback—our experience was far from...
