Nopal by Taco Block — Restaurant in Wheat Ridge

Currently looking for a restaurant to cater a wedding rehearsal dinner this summer. After reaching out to five services, Nopal by Taco Block was the only one to call me to discuss details and to invite me to taste the menu options. Brenda, the owner with her husband, rolled out the most incredible tasting food that was flavored with authenticity! The flavor profiles on every single taco was dynamic and the food was not hidden by spices but was so delicious that each selection was an extremely tasty choice. The restaurant is placed in an easy location to get to off of Wadsworth or Sheridan. The sauces were all delectable and not overpowering in hotness. This place should be snapped up by an influencer! The chips and guacamole are delicious. Nopal was so unique and I loved learning about how it’s cooked. The Al pastor and giant chunks of pineapple, swoooon.

First visit my 4 year old refused to order anything. But then grabbed my al pastor burrito off my plate and proceeded to chow down. So I went and ordered myself another.

Second visit he was excited when we pulled into the parking lot. He proceeded to eat more than I’ve seen him eat in a week.

Loved the food. My husband had the corn tortillas (GF) and was impressed. The salad bar is a hit. My gringa taste buds loved the green avocado salsa and the pickled onions with habanero.

Have I eaten here now twice in 3 days, yes. Would I eat here every day if I could, yes.

Good tacos with unique toppings. Could cook the torts a bit longer to avoid breaking, but that's what forks are for. Current offer is buy 3 tacos and get a free beer! Heck of a deal. Can mix&match tacos. They fry the tortilla chips fresh with every order. Nobody does that!! So they are hot and fresh every time and salted while still oily so get a good stick. Felt like suggesting that they have salt options, like a chili salt or lime salt. That would offer nice alternatives to their already unique chips offering. Have a salsa bar so you're free to pick your "poison" from mild to hot. A pico would be an awesome add to the bar, but that is a lot of work to keep stocked.
