This review of a 1 star is for the Cashier lady named Debbie: Ive been going to this restaurant since the early 60's and have loved it everytime Ive gone there. Breakfast is their main course and that's what everyone usually gets.. We spent a total of close to $60.00 for 3 meals of the same choice (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, 2 beacon strips, and small portion of cooked potato's) As I was paying my $60.00 for this simple meal "DEBBIE" asked if I wanted to add a tip to the bill, I did add a tip, and to her surprise it was too small and made it LOUD AND CLEAR TO everyone in the restaurant that I was a cheap skate (AFTER PAYING $60.00 FOR THE MEAL). She started going on on how their waitress's live off their tips (TOTAL LIE -- the average pay for a waitress in the state of Colorado is $13.75 and could go up to $18.75). DEBBIE the CASHIER was RUDE, Inconsiderate, and very VILE to say the least.. She made sure I felt 2 feet tall when I walked out!
I did my research on "HOW MUCH" it actually costs to purchase the food we had to eat as a commercial business from a commercial food supplier (SYSCO FOODS) and found out that a meal stated above only costs the restaurant a BIG TOTAL OF --- $2.76 (UNDER 3 BUCKS).
The GAUL of this LADY to play an act of SELFISHNESS and GUILT upon paying customers of such HIGH PRICES is repulsive to say the least in a situation that we are living in today. With the HIGH COST of EVERYTHING it's astonishing that anyone can even afford to go out to eat! I could have spent 60.00 at the grocery store for eggs, bread, potato's, and beacon and ate breakfast at home for a family of 3 for 2 weeks!!! And This Cashier has the GAUL to tell me my tip was to low?????
After 60 years of eating at this place I will NEVER go there again..
I tried to contact the owner --- ROBERTO --- But only talked to his son -- Junior --- and when I told him about the issue he was shocked!
It's a real shame that a staple business like this has turned to the kind of hate and slander that it has! Goodbye...

10:11 AM: We are currently seated and have ordered what we expect to be a scrumptious breakfast.
10:13 AM: it had come to my attention that the salt shaker is larger than its pepper compatriot (in both height and, therefore, volume). Taking observation of other tables, it appears that the entire establishment has an assortment of salt and pepper shakers of unpredictable heights. Not a terrible thing, but not getting any bonus points.
10:16 AM: i do appreciate the shape of our table's salt shaker - it feels reminiscient of the kind salt shaker on the show blue's clues. Still in search of sweet baby paprika.
10:18 AM: Our table has a bowl containing three small tubs of half & half. This is inefficient: a single tub of three would do the trick.
10:20 AM: It's time for a jelly/jam review. The tables at Chalet each contain a medium-sized jelly caddie that holds four stacks of 6 personal-sized Smuckers jelly tubs. Flavors include Grape, Apple, Mixed, and Orange.
10:24 AM: Food has arrived! It looks delicious and survey says that the taste matches! What we got: 2 eggs, one slice of french toast French Toast combo: 2 slices cut diagonally, coated in (delicious!) corn flakes. Served with syrup, hash browns, sausages, and 2 eggs cooked sunnyside up. a...
Read moreMy wife and I had breakfast there Sunday morning. we both ordered pancakes with our breakfast instead of toast. When they brought the breakfast out they brought out my pancakes but not my wife's explaining that hers were still being cooked which I didn't make any sense cuz why didn't they cook both of our pancakes at the same time?! I explained to the waitress that my pancakes were ice cold as the butter wouldn't even melt. She took my pancakes back to the kitchen where they microwave them they did not replace them they microwave them because I poke little holes in my pancakes so the butter wouldn't melt through and that's what I noticed at the butter wasn't melting. Why would you microwave pancakes instead of making fresh ones . We will not be returning to this restaurant and on a side note this place could use a really...
