Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Wheaton

Folks, plenty of other DQs in the area, even an Oberweis just down the road from this location.

Avoid this DQ location like the plague.

The employee(s) at this location are poorly trained and condescending. Apparently there is a wrong way to order a kiddie cone placed in a cup, I ended up getting a lecture from a staff member when I was handed simply softserve in a cup with no cone. When I asked where the cone was, she proceeded to tell me I ordered it incorrectly and in fact got what I asked for....(ouch). The chocolate dip cones are also poorly done and sloppy. Real shame... as this location used to be a good choice....

This location is apparently under new ownership, and the vibes have just been really bad ever since.

Most times I've gone, the wait is pretty long because there is usually only one seemingly overworked employee handling a bunch of customers. The employees regularly seem stressed or unhappy.

The place seems a lot more rundown now, too.

Additionally, the new owner apparently does not honor the DQ coupon mailers that get sent out a couple of times each year, which kind of sucks.

Not feeling this location anymore, and unfortunately will be taking our business elsewhere, unless the owner really turns...
