Sushi House will always and forever get our vote for best sushi in the area (I mean western burbs but could extend to Chicagoland, I love it that much). The sushi is top-quality, so tasty and fresh and innovative. But that can be said of many places. What makes this place shine above the rest is the ambience (cozy, peaceful, warm on a cold night) and the customer service is the best. THE.BEST. Last night we took our son there to celebrate his 17th birthday. He requests Sushi House every year. We ordered many makimono rolls, gyoza and their delicious miso soup. All came out beautifully prepared and so, so good--look at the boat-load of sushi in my picture. Isn't it wonderful? The waitress was so kind and attentive. My son didn't want any extra attention but I told her that it was his 17th birthday and she got so excited and said, "Wait! Don't Leave." She brought out a delicious chocolate lava cake with a candle and the staff sang to him. It made his night even if he was a little embarrassed. We know he secretly loved it. We will continue to patron Sushi house and I...

My grandma is from Japan, so I am very aware of what authentic Japanese food tastes like. This isnât it. Itâs very Americanized. For $14.95 they couldâve provided more for the serving. The meat had gristle. Not pleasant to chew on when youâre eating chicken teriyaki. They give me 2 lousy pieces of broccoli that werenât even steamed to softness. They may as well served them raw, they were a bit hard. The sushi was disappointing. I often purchase The Philadelphia roll, which contains avocado, salmon & cream cheese. There was no avocado in this one and the pieces were a bit small. It also didnât taste very well. I also ordered miso soup and that too was disappointing. The food is very bland and tastelessâŚfar from Japanese food which has a great deal of flavor. Like stated this place is Americanized. Itâs not an authentic Japanese restaurant. Thereâs better Japanese food out there. If you want authentic tasting Japanese food I would suggest Sushi+Rotary Sushi Bar. I would pick them any day...

I decided to give this new place a shot; I was extremely disappointed in the service. Not only did I not feel welcomed as a new customer but I was arguing with the waitress because she kept telling me what she thought I was saying without actually listening to me Then the staff started speaking in another language which made me very paranoid that they were talking about me
I was extremely close to just walking out of that restaurant, but it was after 9 pm and my son had a super long day and he wanted sushi and noodles.
I will certainly never go back to...
