Love the place. Made a mistake offering &2 burgers on Wed night and substituting cheap little Pattie’s, fooling us. Lot of customers are disappointed in them. Even the servers warned our table not to by them - frozen they said. Let’s fix this. You are too good to disrespect your customers like this.
Hi. Just saw your response. Not sure why you’re making me out to be the bad guy. I never ‘yelled’ at your person. None of my concern had anything to do with her.
You don’t even know why I called. I wanted you to know that your sign was wrong. That’s all. I had been by for a takeout (see? I’m a happy customer) a few days before and read the sign. I asked the girl at the register if that was right. $2? I don’t care. I have plenty, I don’t look for those desks. But, I know a lot of families who would love that.
Yes, it’s true. Same hamburger? Yes, same hamburger. Walked out and turned back, asking two more times. Same burger? Yes, same burger. How do you guys do that? We just do. A guy was standing next to her, shaking his head. Ok, I’m going to make sure families I know are aware of this.
Fast forward five days later, I start getting calls for people I recommended that we’re sitting at your tables. You know this isn’t the same hamburger, right? No that’s impossible I asked three times. Nope, it’s a little one. Server said it was a frozen patty. Not same burger. Another call, said the server recommended not to buy the small burger, they wouldn’t be happy.
Why am I getting these calls. I called over and your very nice girl answered the phone. I said. Hey, I had recommended your Wed special to a number of friends and had told them it was for your regular menu item and they were calling me. I said - and this is important - I was calling to suggest that you simply change the sign. That was it. No way of knowing it was a different item. That’s all.
She said no, sign was fine because it didn’t say it WAS the same hamburger. I said, umm, why would I think it was a different hamburger? She said you shouldn’t assume. I didn’t, I asked three times and told my friends.
There you go. Pretty simple. Change the sign if you want to communicate authentically. Never yelled. Never raised my voice. Was sitting in a children’s art exhibit the whole time sitting next to my wife actually so my wife wouldn’t give me the shush sign. Wish you had the recording.
Still will eat there. I’ll say hi next time. That was a call from a friend with...
Read moreOrdered carry out from birdsnest via their direct website. After the order sat in the ‘pending status’ for 30 minutes, we called the restaurant to confirm if they had received the online order. The hostess checked the online ordering systems and confirmed they did NOT receive the order. Because they said they did not receive this online - I asked if I could order via phone instead. When we went to pick up the food at the restaurant they took our credit card for payment. I later discovered I was also charged for the online order that they said they never received. We called the restaurant many times explaining we were charged twice. A manager on duty told me she would reverse the second charge and call me back to confirm. I never received a call back - nor did I receive a refund ($115 order). We called again, and they again said they would look into this and figure out a refund. On the 3rd or 4th interaction they told us they had to ‘throw away food from the order that was never picked up’ (the same order they said they NEVER RECEIVED) and they would not be refunding us.
This experience took up a large amount of time with many unreturned phonecalls. The fact that they refused to refund us for a double charge is unacceptable. They were the ones who told us they did not receive our online order - and then retook the same order via phone.
While the food was delicious, we will not be dining here again. Hopefully management will correct this. I would not recommend ordering from their...
Read moreWe had a group come out and was told that they have some of the best wings around, so of course we ventured out to Bird's Nest.
We sat at a high top table (which I'm not a fan of) but that's what they had, so be it.
They have a really nice menu and a ton of drinks.
I opted for an Arnold Palmer, while some of our crew indulged in the beer special. Something with Coors.
I ordered a basket of 10 wings with the honey bbq sauce. They come with celery (not carrots) and blue cheese dressing or ranch. I opted for ranch (again, who likes moldy food). The wings are quite meaty and juicy. They're quite big and worth the price. They are very good and the sauce was incredibly flavorful.
They do not come with any sides, so you have to order one separately. I ordered the regular fries and asked for ranch on the side. They serve a big basket of fries that can easily be shared by at least three-to-four people. Not knowing this, several of us ordered fries and left them when we finished the meal.
They have an extensive menu. Lots of apps, several salads, pizza, wraps, and sandwiches. They may be known for their wings, but they certainly have something for everyone. It will be worth returning and checking out the rest...
