Was at the grand opening today. The drinks came out extremely fast and even tho I had a wait a bit for the food I can forgive since it's opening day. The 5 dollar meals they were having today included a soda, boneless or bone in wings, fries, coleslaw, and cornbread.
The soda: AMAZING 😍 I got a diet Southern charm. Diet Dr pepper, Cherry, vanilla, and sweet cream. The drinks came out super fast and you can tell the ladies working on them were trained extremely well. The drinks was a tad bit sweet for my liking but I would just ask for it with light syrups.
The wings: Pretty standard they weren't blow your socks off but they seem like a reliable meal. You know it'll be good every time.
The fries: Thick, crinkle cut fries. They were pretty light but I don't mind I actually prefer them lighter than darker. My dog who usually hates fries even stole one off my plate!!
Coleslaw: not my favorite but I also am extremely picky with coleslaw. It was quite tangy but overall pretty standard coleslaw.
Cornbread: Soft delicious cornbread. Pretty crumbly but I find that's common with corn bread. It was a tiny bit sweet which I love.
Everyone working there was kind and caring. They were attentive. Sherry and Micheal were checking in on people coming in and eating and you can tell they really put a lot of effort in.
Also shout out to the ranch!!!! Ranch can make or break a restaurant for me and it is delicious!!
I can tell from this first day that you'll be seeing this business for...
Read moreWe stopped in for a meal before a music show at Hey Nonny, one block away. The service was very friendly and informative!! The menu is fairly limited to Chicken wings (with or without bones), chicken tenders, perogies, jalapeno poppers and fries. It seems that all the foods are fried and we know that the chicken is cooked in a broaster, which leaves it nice and moist on the inside. We loved the poppers and bone-in wings, and I loved the tenders although my wife thought the coating was too thick for her. We were not fond of the perogies. We enjoyed the sauce bar which had at least a half-dozen non-spicy sauces and several nice spicy sauces, as well as a few spice shakers. I particularly liked the Jerk sauce and the garlic parm sauce. Although we did not try it, they have a large and creative menu of soft drink "cocktails", all without alcohol. There are roughly 8 or so sodas, and 3 or 4 customizations you can order for each of those sodas.
The other half of the space contains multiple escape room choices with 10-minute, 30-minutes and 60...
Read moreThis is a great new counter service place in downtown Arlington Heights. The atmosphere was very pleasant and had a great clean style to it. Like the 1950's met the 2020's All the employees were super friendly and very attentive. Had the boneless wings, sweet potato tots and one of their soda creations. It was a solid eating experience. The boneless wings or lightly battered and not overly breaded. This was really nice because it kept them juicier and more tender. I love the option that they have their own sauce bar where you can pick and choose what sauces you want or you can have them covered in the sauce that you love. they have a nice range of sauces to choose from. Sweet and savory, dry rubs, and spicier choices which is great for those who want a little adventure and try different things without doing a whole order of one sauce. Soda creations were excellent. I love the paper straws.... eco-friendly ☺️ Prices were good and I will definitely go back again to try out their bone in wings and other menu items.... The...
