I have a heavy heart as I write this review. Tuscan has been one of my favorite places and I've been a customer since 2007. Unfortunately they have had a change in ownership last year who has not kept the food the same. I have not been able to go in a while as I moved from Arlington and their hours have been significantly reduced and are not open on Sundays or before 4 anymore. After I moved it was still a draw and would always take out of town guests there due to their unique, almost shortbread type pizza crust and topping combinations. They still have the toppings but the crust is now just an average pizza crust that you can get anywhere. I really feel bad saying that as the guy told us he created the new crust and he was really nice. One of my favorites, the bacon jamboni, had almost no bacon on it and the flavor profile was not the same. We even asked when they brought it to the table if there was bacon on it because it looked just like the 3 cheese pizza we also ordered. We were told the bacon was under the cheese. I guess there were a couple bits but the previous version had bacon crumbled on the top and had a great smoky bacon flavor. This was cheese pizza with a slightly sweet sauce and a hint of bacon. Other than the sauce I can get that pizza anywhere.
From my visit there's nothing visually appealing or flavorful as before. We even had an order of the family jewels which is meatball on bun with a spicy sauce. The meatballs were ok but something was off and the new bread it is served on is too heavy. If you loved the old Tuscan you'll be disappointed. If you've never gone before you'll get average food and probably think its ok. I wish them luck but I'm sadly no...
Read moreIf I could rate this 0 stars I would. I came here this afternoon with some family members and were severely ignored by numerous staff members. Our waiter was behind the bar drinking with other staff members the entire time we were there, only taking our order once. We had requested a glass of wine to share and after saying he would go and grab that for us, he instead went back behind the bar to talk and laugh with the others. Another waitress finally came up and asked if we needed anything and we explained to her that we ordered a drink but our waiter never came back. At this point we told her to forget it and please just bring us our check. She told us she would get that for us (which she did) but never returned to take our payment. She ended up joining the rest of the waiters behind the bar to talk and laugh as well. We ended up just going to the front with our check to pay. I’ve seen poor service before but wow this was unbelievably bad. I will never be...
Read moreThe only thing TRICKY was managing the villages sidewalk replacement project on a rainy Friday evening. However, once inside the Tuscan Market it was all TREATS. We enjoyed a great wine selection while being entertained by Michael Steven Cohen on acoustic guitar. Tuscan Market is a great concept, a wine shop/bar which also serves a limited, but delicious woodfire pizza, sandwiches & charcuterie. My husband’s Italian beef was “one of the best he’s ever had “ while I enjoyed a GF sausage & goat cheese, pesto pizza! I highly recommend a casual night out coming for the wine selection, enjoying the entertainment & grabbing alittle dinner! Maybe we’ll see...
