McDonald's — Restaurant in Wheeling

Review from 2/13/2024: Drove thru here for a quick pick-up. We ordered 2 McDoubles with no ketchup, a basket of fries with 20 nuggets, 2 large drinks, and number 7 combo without mustard and onions. We received 2 McDoubles with only Ketchup and 2 cheeseburgers with only mustard and onions. Quite literally the exact opposite of what we ordered. They were wrapped in the labeled papers with special instructions. I waited in the outside drive thru line for about 7 minutes while they took 3 cars in the inside line even with periods without anyone in that line. I finally yelled to a man sweeping to see if it was broken. He couldn't hear me. After 30 seconds or so, I got are you using your mobile app. I placed the order. At the cashier window, she spoke not a word, grabbed my card, and shut the window. Luckily she gave me a receipt so I could verify it was indeed my order. Next window, again no greeting. I requested a cup carrier and she was visibly annoyed. I got the drinks and was told to move to the next window. No please, thank you, nothing. Next window was a bit of wait, but I at least got a thanks. Food was cold and messily wrapped. Crummy experience.

Review from 4 years ago: I'm not sure what has changed here, but they need to figure it out. Almost two weeks ago, I went through the drive thru. It took 25 minutes from ordering until the last window. They had our order correct on the paper, but not in our bag. I had to go inside and get it remedied. Today I took my children inside and we ordered 3 ice cream cones and a small shake. It took 22 minutes from paying to delivery of the cones. There were tons of people standing around waiting for their food, as well. A customer waited almost 10 minutes to get a small fry that they shorted her. The efficiency there and attitudes of the employees have taken a downward spiral. I don't want apologies, I'd like whatever changed corrected. They used to be one of the quickest...

A lot of literal children working here (like 13 year olds) who tend to ignore you/refuse to acknowledge your existence. They sometimes do not utilize the delivery pick up rack holding Doordash and Uber Eats orders hostage- while avoiding you. One time my order was sitting behind the counter ready to go so I had to walk two feet beyond the counter to grab it because saying "Excuse me" and trying to get an employee's attention did not yield any results. Do not recommend the frozen Coke products- they are not very flavorful and the syrup separates from the crushed ice nearly instantly. Ordered an apple pie via Doordash and it looked like it had been smashed prior to boxing it. Quarter pounder meat was burnt and dry. One day I asked about the salads and the drive thru employee sarcastically said "we haven't had salads in 3 years" as if I possess the inherent knowledge of their ever-changing menu. If you are waiting on a delivery order as a driver expect to wait 15-20 min at least (no exaggeration) and painstakingly observe someone diligently putting on 5 stickers that end up ripping off the moment you carry the bag by the handles. There are always brazen racoons in the parking lot that have been so acclimated to people that the employees have actually named them (one is called Cletus). About a month ago they were abruptly closed as Pest Control was parked outside- though I've never seen roaches there it's been rumored that they are present. It's McDonald's though- not a Michelan star establishment. Though I'd never really consider it...

I ordered for 10 piece chicken nuggets and they gave only 4 pieces in it with two open sauces. This is worst staff I have ever seen. I waited almost 45 mins to get my mobile order. Half the order was ignored I need to follow up on each and every item. The manager is trying his best to cover for them by doing their job instead of making them do it. They simply enjoy playing instead of taking care of customers. They simply seem to be like a bunch of immature kids with lack of training and restraints to server customers on top priority. The tables are not cleaned. Trays left over on couple of tables. If I visited during the prime hours I could understand but this was scenario @5PM. It’s an Unhygienic large space, plenty of sauces boxes/packets underneath their working tables. I have even observed their system’s doesn’t work so well.
