Potbelly — Restaurant in Wheeling

Just had an order delivered missing one sandwich. All the “manager” could say was that it left the restaurant and they could take it off the bill. So I guess I’m eating cereal tonight. Never ordering from them again.

Update and reason for changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars.

To begin with, and the initial reason for the review was simply the lack of care and unwillingness to accept accountability from the girl who called herself the manager at 7:00 PM on January 4th. She offered no apology and instead of accepting responsibility, insinuated that the driver or I had lost/stolen/eaten the sandwich. She was absolutely convinced that the sandwich had left the shop and that being so, it was not her fault.

Ultimately, I accepted the refund and have been checking to make sure it was applied. I called Wednesday, and spoke to the same girl who said that it should have been applied and if I hadn't received it by Thursday, to call back.

Now it's Friday, and here is where I changed my review. I called to inquire on the refund by asking for the manager. I was connected to Devan, Assistant Manager, and before I could really get the whole story out, Devan had apologized.

It's not an issue of Money. It's about being in the service industry and caring about the people you are serving.

Whoever the girl is calling herself a manager, she's no where near it. Devan, the assistant manager flipped this review.

He took my cc info, had me hold while he processed the refund, and gave me his personal phone number in case the refund didn't go through.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is exceptional! This place has the quickest service I have ever seen. They serve the orders on time, they prepare the food perfectly, and they are also creative upon serving. This place is highly recommend. Especially to those people who really loves sandwiches and want to grab some quick bite. This is the place you must visit. The sandwiches here are great, they used so fresh breads, the meats are so tasty and tender, the veggies are also fresh and new, and overall was really perfect. They made sandwiches to perfection. I recently placed an mobile order. And I canceled the order few minutes later due to potbelly's internal error in their app. I called the shop. Andrew answered. He said within 24 to 48 hours my payment will be refunded. After 48 hours, the payment was not credited back. Then I called again. Andrew said he did not have enough time to request and submit my refund. What the heck! He said within 24 to 48hours. He was playing with a customer. It was terrible. He was irresponsible. And just now I waited another 24hours again. The payment was NOT STILL credited back. What is going on? He was lying to me again? I will call their shop again tomorrow first thin in the morning. I wonder how they treat customers in what manner. If they treat that way they will loose the business sooner or later. Few days later, I got a chance to talk to one of the Pot belly's manager.
