We came in about an hour and a half before close with six people, it is a smaller restaurant so we had to wait like 5 minutes for some other people to finish eating but they got an area cleaned up really fast and we got seated almost immediately. The waiter was very lovely , super professional but not annoying professional, he would check on us to make sure we're doing good but didn't check on us like an annoyingly amount, before we left my dad told him had the best customer he's ever seen and my dad's worked reasturant/customer service for a long time so that says a lot. I love the way they do the menu with the markers it is definitely a lot easier than trying to relay by mouth what you want in your ramen bowl. The food was delicious, my mom ate everything and she normally doesn't, my boyfriend who doesn't really like ramen and has trouble eating out ate enjoyed every part of dinner, and my brother and sister who didn't finish got some neat takeout boxes. The ramen bowls seemed a little pricey at a starting point of $13 each but the portion size made it worth it plus it was super filling. The chef cooking was also super lovely and even though they ran out of a couple things I'm not upset because it was an hour before close on a Saturday and I'd like to imagine they just try to prevent waste by not buying way more than they need. Also the whole atmosphere was lovely, the flowers on the ceiling, the paint castle/wall, and the little window to the kitchen. I would definitely come back and honestly if I lived closer I'd eat there more than...
Read moreWent there for the first time Friday night and it was busy but they kept up with it! The ramen was good, I liked the wheat noodles. I am by no means a ramen connoisseur, but it did feel like something was missing. I really like the broth and the chicken was very good. The carrots seemed too big and too hard for the ramen imo. I think I will mostly stick to softer veggies to add in next time. The bowls should come with those little narutomaki! I think they were out of soy eggs so maybe that was something that would make the bowl better when I visit again. I was very disappointed in the salad, it was just greens and the dressing just tasted like Italian to me so I probably won't be getting another salad unless they update it or at least add another veggie to it or something. I also wish they had ramune as a beverage, or just cups for water(I hate buying bottles water). I will be returning for sure! I'm very excited for this unique place to be...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious. The owners were welcoming. Anyone complaining of the portions for the price are clearly out of touch with the cost of things and are seeking oversized meals. This is a very reasonable price. It's a simple menu which is what it should be as they just opened. We paid almost as much for three drinks and rude service at the coffee shop across the street right after so how are any reviews saying this place is over priced??? I just literally paid the same price for one bag of name brand white sugar at the grocery store last week as I did this whole cooked meal they served. Wake up people. I'm so happy to have another food style option here in Wheeling. My son is literally bugging me nonstop to go back and we definitely will soon. I hope this new business stays around a while! Thank you for the clear passion you've put in to getting this restaurant up...
