A good place to hold a wizards and witches festival or watch fireworks. The wizards and witches festival had nice butterbeer and trinkets of all types for the Harry Potter wizarding community. So many people were dressed up in their finest robes and college outfits while there were a few monstrous and fun caricatures as well. The children ran around as they do with a scavenger hunt and wand battles.
It's only 4 instead of 5 stars because the "theater" company that opened before the music came on was poor quality, even though it was ostensibly just meant for the kids. The script was farcical, the costuming seemed thrown together. I wouldn't have put them in front of anything older than fifth grade. I don't believe that the organizers vetted their performance.
The primary issue is that the lead player was a cross between preening and annoying. I fully expect that the vast majority of what he said was improvised nonsense, and none of it seemed to hit. Read moreWe attended the Wheeling wine festival at Heritage Port which was an over priced fiasco. What you received for your $40 plus was a 6 Oz glass for tasting. However, getting to the tasting booths was very difficult; requiring people to stand on a hillside for long periods of time while working their way down to the booths. This was not the fault of the wine vendors, but simply poor planning on the part of the sponsors. The food, beer (no free samples) and other vendors were given prime locations at the festival. Now before you think that I have given this a poor rating without justification, we have attended wine festivals here in the past were the wine vendors received the prime locations making it covenant for the paying customers to get their free samples without having to stand on a hillside. You can rest assured, if the same sponsors host the event in the future, I will not be attending. There are too many other wine festivals...
