It was a perfect size arena. It was throw a bear on ice after they made a goal night and it was awesome. I’ve never seen so many bears being thrown on the ice for such a charitable reason. I know that they donate to the Salvation Army which is wonderful, and I know that a lot of children that are probably homeless or Are in need of a teddy bear this Christmas will get one. It was a great crowd last night. They had 1 million vendors they were selling everything from fudge to hard candies to freeze dried, jolly ranchers, which I’ve never had before which I have to say are very interesting. Lots of sweet tooth out there in West Virginia. Lots of fans lots of kids it was a good time even their food. Their concessions were fabulous. I have to say I had the best tacos at the arena and Wheeling it was fabulous. The food was not overly priced. I think it was decent for what they were offering. I mean they have to make money but it was reasonable. There are security walk-throughs that you have to do when you walk in there, so watch out for your metal objects, the parking garage was adequate. There was parking so there wasn’t a problem. There’s a little bit of construction in the city wasn’t too bad of an issue. I had a good time watching the nailers on the ice for the first time was pretty exciting for me. Definitely would love to go back! I think that there were a lot of people that worked in that arena, and they were all very pleasant and hospitable was a good crew! Thank you for a...
Read moreRight in Downtown Wheeling! Traffic and parking were easy to navigate. We paid $10 for parking at the parking garage directly across from the arena. We were in attendance to Godsmack on 10/23 the arena was at about 50% capacity. The lines to get in moved quick. Bathrooms were clean. Many snack and drink options. Affordability of alcohol was on point with most beers at $6-8 and mixed drinks at $8-12. VIP seating had an excellent view. Seating was "ok" when it came to comfort. My only disappointment was the lack of security. Security was present when entering the building, at the front of the stage and various other places. The disappointment came because myself and many others paid inflated VIP pricing to be close to the stage. Security was not stopping people who had seats 10 plus rows back from walking up and standing. This obstructed the view and experience we paid for. It also caused issues with maneuvering in and out of our rows to get to restrooms etc. I'm from NEO my closest venue Blossom keeps security within the VIP sections and you have to scan your ticket for readmission to the VIP section each time after departing. This avoids non premium guests from overcrowding the area. Please do...
Read moreWesBanco Arena offers a solid event experience with a few notable pros and cons. On the positive side, the seating layout ensures excellent views of the action from nearly every seat in the stadium, making it easy to enjoy the event.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. The lack of cup holders in the seating area can be inconvenient, especially for those juggling drinks and snacks. Additionally, the seats themselves offer limited legroom, which might make longer events less comfortable for taller attendees.
The most significant downside, though, is the post-event parking situation. Exiting the parking garage was chaotic, with no personnel directing traffic. This led to long delays and frustration for many attendees. A more organized approach to managing traffic flow would make a significant difference.
Overall, while the arena has its strengths, addressing these logistical and comfort issues would enhance the...
