617 club — Restaurant in White Bear Lake

My wife and I had an hour to kill before eating at a local restaurant. We decided to stop here for drinks. Aura was definitely a bar scene. My wife is 20 weeks pregnant and we were dressed up a little, but we definitely felt out of place. Not only that, but the bar-goers gave us looks like we must've been in the wrong place. I asked for a drink menu but they didn't have one. I ordered two drinks (they were good and strong) and my wife got a soda (all she could have that was non-alcoholic). A hole in the wall bar that is a decent last stop when downtown white bear. The bar seemed to be filled with locals/regulars, which was definitely interesting to watch. The drinks are reasonably priced and the bar tender is quick to walk around to make sure that you have a drink. However, there is some weird shady vibe... still not a bad place if you dont want to go home after everything else shuts down...

This place is a solid dive bar that takes you right back to the '70s. It's not fancy, just good drinks at great prices. The place is super relaxed, and the crowd is friendly and laid-back.
