I had heard good things about this place but the whole thing was just a hassle.
Called up at like 4:35 to place a pickup order. Google says they're open until 8:30. Dude who picked up said they close at 5 and it seemed like he was doing a favor to ring up an order. Told him I would definitely be there before 5 as I live really close. Almost had to convince them to place the order.
Showed up and some woman was confused when I said I was picking up an order. Like it was some obscure request. Dude came out from the back and grabbed it. Made a little small talk saying I heard good things about the place and was excited to try it out. He didn't even look at me. Just rang it up on the register without saying a word and walked away. So I scanned my card and did all that with nobody at the register. No human interaction at all. It was bizarre.
I get home and the order is wrong. Was supposed to be a combo with a roll and a bowl. Instead it's 2 rolls. Beyond that the person I'm eating with can't handle much spice so I asked for 2 star. I like spicy but this was way hotter than any 2 star I've had from any Thai, Indian or Chinese food joint. Felt more like 4 star. Still fine for me, but not what we expected.
The whole experience was just so strange. The extra meat on the side option came in what you'd put ketchup in and contained probably 2 bites for $4. To top it off they have a coupon on their website for 15% with a promo code that just doesn't work.
It's pretty decent food. Just feels like there is zero thought going into this place besides making tasty food. Get rid of the fake promo code on your website. Update your hours on google. If you can't make an order just say that, it's weird feeling like a business is doing me a favor by making food I'm just trying to get for takeout. Lastly just say hi and figure out an order management system. I was the only customer there and the order was still wrong. That's not great.
Maybe I'll try it again sometime down the line. But placing a pickup order should not be this complicated. Given the type of food served here, I'd assume 80%+ would be takeout. So you'd think it would be a...
Read moreI am a huge HUGE Roll Pod fan. I literally stalk their schedule and would run to Ounces brewery when their food truck would be there or even drive to their restaurant in Bellevue to satisfy my kathi roll cravings. Well now they are right here in my neighborhood!! Hurray!!
Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and this place had alot of customers ordering takeout and few dining in. I ordered my fav tri pod combo (2 rolls and half rice bowl) with chicken masala. The quality and quantity was consistent like all their other places and I was so happy about that. Their flavors are always on point and love their spicy chutneys which elevate any and every dish. I also ordered the mango lassi and it was delicious. I did see they have kulfis in store as well. Service was a little slow but thats cos they make it fresh in front of you so I dint mind the wait.
All in all welcome to the neighborhood and folks in West Seattle highly recommend trying them out. Trust me...
Read moreI love their concept of Indian food on the go! They have meat and vegetarian options. I ordered the 2 filling options that included the garbanzo bean and achaari fish. One wrap per filling. Both fillings had in-depth flavors. I would LOVE to give this place 5 stars, because they do hit the high marks on complex flavors, convenience, and overall presentation. HOWEVER, both my wraps were a bit too greasy, too salty, and for a level 1 it was too spicy. On the achaari fish wrap, I can squeeze the the roti with my fingers and see the oil pool between my fingers. The garbanzo wrap was too spicy and had to take breaks in between bites. It was a unanimous rating in which my friends said the same thing. Hopefully, I'll have better experience with their food next visit and can update the review.
Would I come back? yes do I...
