Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in White Lake Charter Township

Let me start by saying I have been using this place for years and they used to be great.

Every Friday I have a pizza night with the kids and this location has been reliable with delivery and pickup for years.

Recently they made the change to using food delivery app drivers instead of their drivers. Everything went downhill fast after that happened. There were two orders that showed up after an insanely long wait and the pizzas were cold and stale by the time we received them. I like to teach my kids to deal with things rather than complain so we just ate the pizza and I decided to take some time off from pizza night.

Today I decided to go back to pizza night and sure enough it was a huge mistake. Ordered the pizza to be delivered. Got a text from a food delivery app saying the location was using them to deliver the pizza. After one hour and 15 minutes I decided to call and find out what was going on. The person who answered the phone just kept saying in a sarcastic tone “it’s on the road, sorry.”

After an hour and twenty minutes I finally called the number that the food delivery app texted me. The guy said his gps was acting up and took him to an apartment on the other side of town instead of my house that is five minutes away from the pizza place. I told the guy to just not bother delivering it.

I called the location and told them to just cancel the order and refund my card. I’m done...

I got the $30 dollar meal deal one of my pizzas was half burnt and the worker said that " customers usually like it this way" I said I wanted a refund and the worker yelled at me for wanting one 😑 and proceeded to tell me she was the only one on shift and couldn't help if the pizza burns a certain way because of the ovens fault.... I proceeded to say I just want a refund and the worker was very disrespectful to me and my son and grandson who was with me at the time it's unfortunate this has happened i love the busy and i perfer hungry Howie's pizza over any other's i hope the owner will do something about the staff and the way she yelled at me in front of my grandson and I please feel free and reach out to me i would be more than happy to explain my experience more in person if needed...

Placed an order for delivery and the driver forgot my 2L of soda. When I informed the driver they did not offer to grab it and come back they just said “well I wasn’t told” and “call DoorDash for refund” (I did not order on DoorDash so I have no idea why I was told to do that), when I called I was told to call the store, the woman who answered the phone at the store said I would have to wait for the store manager and he wouldn’t be in until the next day. I called the next day to ask for a refund in the soda, I explained everything that was said to me and was told I can’t get a refund and hung...
