Since 1947, Dorothy's Candies has been selling hand-crafted chocolates and other candies. Today on Christmas Eve, I stopped by this business for the first time. Because of the holidays, probably half of their shelves were empty, but I still found several goodies to purchase. The box of 25 chocolate cherry cordials cost $34, which seems to be pricey, but the chocolate is crispy, and the cherries are juicy and flavorful. I also really enjoy the taste of the peanut brittle, chocolate raisin patty, and rice krispie pop. The only candy that I did not like was the sugar plums. This store even sold a cute nurse-themed set of chocolates, which I did not buy but would be a thoughtful gift for a nurse. What I thought was going to be free shipping ended up being $42 on top of $21 for the order. They called to inform me about the situation and I said not to worry about it, I would pay the shipping. I got a second call today saying they are refunding me for both the shipping and order (completely unprompted). They are very kind and it is very appreciated. Cannot wait to try our order...
