I normally donât write reviews, especially if they are negative - but this was just such an odd and uncomfortable interaction.
I went for the first time today, 7/24/23, at about 11:25/11:30a. I ordered a chicken strips meal - on the menu, it said it was $10.59 or $10.79. Taxes in Texas are typically .0825%, so even if it was $10.99 (I definitely remember the $10 part), the total wouldâve been no more than $11.90. I didnât order anything extra.
I get to the window and the attendant says âTotal is twelve fifty-sâŠ..â (looks down and sees I have a $20 and not a card) ââŠ$13 even.â
I thought that was odd but I just thought I would wait for the receipt to see what happened. Well he didnât give me one. I asked for a receipt and he said he couldnât provide it. âI would have to charge you again at another register.â ⊠but sir, you just took my cash??!
I wouldâve asked more questions but I had already talked to him for like 90s about it and had to get back to work - he said the menu prices were wrong and if I wanted, he could take a picture of the screen saying $13. I didnât believe him because the math wasnât matching at all - and it made me really uncomfortable that they literally refused me a receipt when I paid in cash.
Like are they canceling out the order and pocketing the change? Is something else going on? Why canât I see what I was charged for when it seems like a slight overcharge?
Itâs not a huge deal and it wasnât that much money but it made me weirdly uneasy.

I came through drive- thru on Sept. 10 @ lunch time and had the greatest customer service experience because of Aubrey. Aubrey provide service with a smile, took the time to help me order and never rushed me when I was undecided. Aubrey in Drive thru deserves a raise and accolades. You couldn't pay me to come back to this place. And spend my money, I don't even want the chicken for free. They kept giving out free buckets of chicken when you spend $15, but the chicken that I got was so bad to where I didn't even want to spend $15 to get a free bucket of chicken. I wouldn't recommend anybody eat at this restaurant. It has been a hit-and-miss because at some point I got some decent chicken.
