Red Roof ||I am convinced that the family that owns this property either hates hospitality or just doesn’t care anymore probably a bit of both. ||There’s a for sale sign on the property, which is an indication to me that they checked out a long time ago. ||I’m gonna share with the meaning of hospitality is since they forgot. ||Hospitality encompasses the relationship between a host and guest, characterized by generous and friendly treatment, often involving the reception and entertainment of guests in a comfortable and welcoming environment.||I attempted to check in at 3:15. I was told that I had to wait till 4 PM. I thought maybe it’s because my room wasn’t ready when I checked into my room I realize there were dead insects in my sink and my bathtub which indicates to me that I wasn’t waiting for the room to be cleaned. I was just waiting because someone wants to make people wait for no reason. ||Two other guests tried to check in around the same time and since the lobby was locked, they had to wait outside in 100° heat shame on you. What a pathetic excuse for a hotel owner ||I’ve stayed at many red roof ends in my life. I would’ve never considered it to be a bargain basement chain until the stay at this property. I cannot believe that it’s allowed to be called the Red Roof Inn. ||The door to the room has been bent. You can see part of the outside of the door on the inside. There’s a big gap at the bottom of the door. ||The rusted and empty Kleenex container on the wall shows me the type of disrepair that most of the other rooms are probably in. ||I’m embarrassed for the person that knows this property that they would even come to work. ||I do not recommend this property. Read moreTerrible experience from the start. Mike who worked at the front desk told me a rate of $73 when online and at the location it advertised $60 a night. I proceeded to get the room. I asked for smoking room and he gave me a room that was occupied. I went back to the front to get the new room and walked to my room. Walking in, I was not content with the room and the appearance. It was hot as the A/C unit wasn’t plugged. The bed sheets had holes and burnt holes. The ceiling had a weird yellow brown substance on it. Many other items were not up to the right standards and I decided to go back up to the front to get a refund. Immediately, I asked for a refund and said I was unhappy with the room. He (Mike) told me he wouldn’t give me a refund and he then called the cops. I was calm, didn’t make any threats. I asked for corporate number and he gave me the number to the reservation line. Reservation line then gave me the proper number to corporate. I called by that time police had arrived and started to ask questions. There really wasn’t a scene, officers just let me know that Mike would continue to call them so wanted me to make decision to leave or stay.
