I was very disappointed with my mother’s decision to stay here from October 17-20 for her graduation weekend. I was uncomfortable leaving her alone while I stayed at a Hilton property. Upon arrival, the room smelled like smoke, despite being a non-smoking room. While the fact that there is only one floor to walk up to reach the 2nd floor is a plus, having no elevator, is inconvenient.
Although the staff were kind, the condition of the bathroom was unacceptable. There was hair and stains on the shower curtain, and I spent the first day cleaning the bathroom myself. When I requested extra washcloths, I was told they only provide two per room. So I told them I needed them since I had to clean the tub in the bathroom and I explained that we use separate washcloths for both face and body for two grown women, like any normal person would. I shouldn't have had to explain this, especially to another woman.
Eventually, I was given additional towels, but they were severely stained. I was embarrassed to ask for additional towels because it just didn't seem they cared after the front desk's comment. But the stains were very obvious and too dirty to give to my mother. And she apologized and gave me better towels.
I’ve stayed at Super 8 motels that were much better maintained than this place. This experience was extremely...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for two nights. The price was great but there were several issues.
Firdt of all, for a relatively new hotel it was dirtier than I expected. There were stains on the carpet throughout the hotel. My room had dried food stains on the dresser and desk. The sheets and mattress pad on one bed had yellow spots. The sheets on the other bed were wrinkled and clearly looked like they had been slept in
The front desk lady told me the yellow spots were bleach stains. There were smeared hand prints on the headboard so I didn't buy that excuse at all. Housekeeping was gone for the day so she put a clean flat sheet on the bed and told me housekeeping would take care of it the next day.
Secondly, I was gone from 8:30am to 9:30pm the next day. When I returned to my room, my room key wouldn't work. The same front desk lady accused me of using the key too much!
Lastly, the second floor windows open completely and there are no screens. A person could easily fall out. This hotel also does not appear to be ADA compliant. They do not have an elevator so I had to carry my suitcase up two flights of stairs. A person with mobility issues cannot access the second floor.
This hotel is in a great location and has the potential to be a hidden gem. But, until the issues I mentioned are resolved I will never stay...
Read moreI would have given this place 5-stars had it not been for the woman "manager". I couldn't even get her proper name because she was purposely saying it to where I couldn't understand her. The man who checked us in the night before said we could get an hour late check out we just needed to call the front desk in the morning. First off, when I called she didn't understand anything I was saying and it's like she wasnt paying attention to me. She was 100% rude!! Then she was saying no late check out because the housekeeping staff wanted to leave early!!! So my vacation has to be compromised because your staff wants to leave early???!!!! Then she goes, I can give you until 11:20. So 20 extra minutes. I don't know what changed her mind but then she called the room and said we can stay until 12. Just like any other hotel would. Then we check out, she didn't say one word to us. No thank you no come back again. Just awful customer service and no just human descentcy. She was also having her 10 year old daughter (or niece, something of relation) cleaning rooms. Other than her the entire stay was wonderful. Cleaning staff was courteous and room was great. I hope she doesn't get to keep her job. I'm sure we aren't the first guests she has...
