If I could give this location negative stars for service i totally would. I wish all these young adults would remember that YOU CHOSE to work in the food service industry!! I said service!! That means you service the customers that come in. That staff that worked on May 24th 2024 around 4:45pm is HORRIBLE. THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAD SOME SENSE WAS THE YOUNG MAN. BUT ALL THE LADIES THERE THAT HAD THE PRESS ON EYELASHES WERE RUDE AND DOWN RIGHT NASTY TO MY GRANDMOTHER. Even the manager was being disrespectful behind the counter. Playing with people's food. The young man went to make the plate and the 1st girl with press on eyelashes came over and snatched it from him and decided to make it herself. She kept making the meat fall and then kept grabbing the smallest pieces when my grandmother asked for a different piece. Then she actually stopped filling the container and started talking to a staff member in the carryout section. As my grandmother asked the young lady a question she ignored her, so I started speaking for my grandmother. I said "excuse me ma'am" and she continued to talk trash to another employee. Then she passed us on by basically throwing the container at us telling us that she doesn't do the next section. When we got to the side dishes we asked for mashed potatoes. The second lady with press on eyelashes started over filling the container then asked if we wanted gravy, then she started removing the same mashed potatoes from the container and almost left none in the container just to fill it with gravy. Who plays with food like that? Refilling and emptying the container for no reason but to stall us and play with the food. The manager was there the hole time chatting about personal business. Then the 3rd lady with the press on eyelashes got us our bread. She acted like she couldn't bag the food, they all kept looking at each other and were continuously laughing at us and my frail grandmother was just standing there so angry. She paid $15 dollars for a piece of meat, some potatoes, and 2 rolls. This location is filled with disrespectful employees and I'm ashamed because they are all women. They all need classes on the service industry or go work somewhere else. We WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AND I WILL FOR SURE TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO COME...
Read moreCame to this establishment with my children and and my mom. I had 3 chicken dinner, with 3 mac, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn & extra side of spinach, a salad and a slice of cornbread My mom had loaded potatoes, mushroom n gravy Salisbury steak, “fresh squeezed” lemonade chocolate cake, and I’m not sure what my nephew had. The customer service was very nice, but our dinner was horrible. The chicken was way too salty, the green beans was not seasoned and the corn seemed as if it was in the steamer since morning. The hulls were swollen and there was no flavor. The macaroni was stiff and gummy with minimal flavor. My moms Salisbury steak gravy was chalky and the protein was flavorless and kinda tough. I wanted to tell the manager but my mom insisted I not say anything so felt it important to write a review. Now I will say, the cornbread, and spinach was phenomenal! To top of the experience of undesirable food, a customer approached me about my children (ages 1,3,4) making noise in the dining area and even stepped in face and threatened to physically assault me; the manager sent a young girl from the staff over to address the situation and she approached the offender instead of me. My whole experience was very disappointing here and I don’t believe I will ever return to this location. I wasted my money and time and apparently the manager who was on duty didn’t think enough of the establishment to at least intercept with his male presence to try and diffuse the situation. He sent a child and although she was kind, her presence didn’t make a difference to...
Read moreThis is a pure trade off between value and taste. The portions could feed two or three people. But it's still cafeteria food. Green beans were overcooked and flavorless. Mac and cheese was extremely cheesy - a good thing! - but the Mac was overcooked. At least not gelatinous, though. Meanwhile, the lasagna was almost indistinguishable from the sauce it was so soft. But the sauce itself had good flavor, which was a plus. Beets looked like perfect balls, a bit like a smaller version of melon balls, but also with decent flavor, yet not too distinguishable from canned. The rolls were enormous and were good, but not too different from store-bought. My stuffed chicken breast was tender. But, whether it was the gravy or not, too salty. And the dressing was also overcooked and understandably without any distinguishable celery. (And no, distinguishable isn't the word of the day - it just seems like it.) But it was rather large. The vanilla cake with frosting, though! If there were a reason to go back, that would absolutely be it (foodwise, anyway). Moist and delicious with a good frosting which wasn't overpoweringly sweet, it was the star of the show. [Untasted was a piece of sweet potato pie and a piece of strawberry pie. The former had no whip cream and it wasn't apparent whether one could ask for it or ice cream.]
The service was really good. The lady and man behind the counter were quite friendly. And once you sit down, the server checks to see if you need anything. Extras, like a dessert you decide you want, can be paid at the table.
